Prantik Lake is a beautiful tourist spot in Bandarban district of Bangladesh. It is surrounded by diversified plants and trees. Prantik Lake is an ideal place for visiting. Prantik Lake is located in a village named “Holudia” near the Keranirhat-Bandarban Road. The volume of the lake area is 29 acres. This amazing place will certainly attract tourist mind. With profuse ordinary splendors beauty Prantik Lake lies in Holodia near the Keranihat-Bandarban road. It is 14 km away from Bandarban town. It needs 30minutes drive. It shelters a zone of 2500 acre. The organization authority of this lake is LGED. This lake is bounded by good lots of diversities of trees. It has been observed a natural habitation for diverse bird types. This lake is a perfect residence for fishing. You can have fishing chance in this lake with the consent of the authority. It is an ideal place for trip and family tour in separateness.

How to go

Prantik Lake is 14 kilometers away from Bandarban town. You can hire private Jeep or auto rickshaw for going to Prantik Lake. Local bus is also available to go there.

There are no direct flight services available from Dhaka to Bandarban. However, you can travel to Chittagong by air and then take a bus or private car to reach Bandarban. Bangladesh Biman, United Airways, Regent Airways and Novo Air, all provide flight services to Chittagong.

Kaptai Lake is a beautiful blue man-made watery lake. The size of this Lake is approximately 11000 square kilometer, which was created as a reservoir when the Kaptai dam was built during the 1960. This amazing Lake was created by flooding valleys and plain lands between numerous hills all around the Lake. Kaptai has Bangladesh's only hydro-electric project. The Kaptai Dam on the Karnaphuli River created for this purpose resulted in the Kaptai Lake. This created a charming view as forested hills and plateaus rise from beneath the beautiful Lake water.

A stretch of road connects the tourist spots of Rangamati and Kaptai. The road goes deep into the hill tracts and displays the natural beauty and wildlife of the district Rangamati. The government of Bangladesh run Tourism Corporation and many private operators offer Kaptai Lake Cruise Tours, which is worth of it. Other scenic spots are also accessible through the waterways. Cruising on the Kaptai Lake is an enjoyable way of observing the landscape as many great picnic spots, natural landmarks and historic monuments are accessible only by boats.

Ramsagar is a largest man made lake of Bangladesh situated in the village Tejpur eight kilometer south of the Dinajpur town. The lake wide is about 1079 m north-south and length 192.6 m in East-West. Ramsagar was stablished in the mid-1750s by Raja Ram Nath. About 1.5 million worker took part to dig the lake and total cost is 30000 TK that time.

The total area of Ramsagar National Park about 60 square km. Forest Department of Bangladesh have planted different type of ornamental and fruit trees that have flourished and become forested areas. Around the Ramsagar it is a familiar picnic place for tourists. The Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation has improve some tourist facilities around the Ramsagar Lake, such as rest-rooms, picnic spots and kiosks to sell refreshments, as well as playgrounds for children to enjoy.

The lake is full of different type of fishes. There have some fresh water crocodiles. In national park there has some animals such as Deer, Wild Boar, Blue Bull, Sloth Bear and Hyena. There some birds such as White-Breasted Water Hen, Jacanas, Moorhen, River Tern, Sand Piper, Ringed Plover and Grey and Purple Herons are seen. Moreover, the lake is a safe place for migratory birds.

Whatever it is a place which is full of natural beauty. So government should give more concentration about the National park.

Boga Lake, also known as Bagakain (বগাকাইন) Lake, is the most beautiful natural lake in Bangladesh. It is 18 km away from Ruma Sadar Upazila in Bandarban. The area of this lake is about 15 acres. It is approximately 1800 feet above sea level. The color of its water is blue. Behind creation of this lake there are many mythological stories. Many tourist visit Boga lake mostly during winter. Localities of small tribe community like Bawm, Khumi can be found besides the Boga Lake. Strolling becomes difficult in the rainy season.

The road from Ruma to Boga Lake is still under construction. You might be amazed looking at the big rocks lying in and out of the Boga Lake. You can have a camp fire beside the lake which might be an unbelievable and mind-blowing memory in your life.
