Karamjol Wildlife Rescue Center is one of the wonderful visiting place in Sundarbans. To appreciate and to view the most cherished species of Bangladesh’s wildlife, thousands of visitors make their way to Karamjol, a ranger station deep in the forest that also serves as a deer-breeding center. Bangladesh has some exquisite wildlife species that are unique to the country, and Karamjol is one of the gateways to the majestic wildlife sanctuary in Sundarbans.
Karamjol is a forest station for the Rangers. Here you can see a dear breeding center. To visit Sundarban you need to go there with a guide and it is even better if you go there with a group. You can stay two/three days in Sundarban depending on your desire and requirements. One-day tour is not enough for Sundarban as you will not be able to see the nature in haste. For one-day tour you can go up to Karamjol and at a glance visit the outer portion of Sundarbans forest areas.

সুন্দরবনের অন্যতম আকর্ষণীয় স্থান হল করমজল। বাংলাদেশের বন্যপ্রাণী জগতের সবচেয়ে আলোচিত প্রাণীদের দেখতে এবং এসব প্রাণীর সংরক্ষণে উৎসাহ যোগাতে হাজার হাজার পর্যটক করমজলে বেড়াতে আসেন। সুন্দরবনের গভীরে অবস্থিত এই রেঞ্জার স্টেশনটি হরিণ প্রজনন কেন্দ্র হিসেবেও ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে। করমজলকে বলা যায় বন্যপ্রাণীর রাজকীয় অভয়ারণ্য সুন্দরবনের একটি প্রবেশদ্বার যেখানে রয়েছে এ দেশে অদ্বিতীয় বেশকিছু অপরূপ সুন্দর বন্যপ্রাণী।
সুন্দরবনে বেড়াতে গেলে দলবদ্ধভাবে অথবা একজন গাইড নিয়ে যাওয়াই ভাল। মন চাইলে আপনি সুন্দরবনে দুই তিনদিন থাকতে পারেন। তবে একদিনের জন্য সুন্দরবনে গেলে তা যথেষ্ট হবে না কারন তাড়াহুড়া করে আপনি প্রকৃতিকে ভাল করে দেখতে পারবেন না। তবে একদিনের জন্য সুন্দরবনে গেলে আপনি করমজলে যেতে পারেন এবং সেই সাথে সুন্দরবনের বাইরের দিকের কিছু অংশ এক ঝলকে দেখে নিতে পারেন।

Halti Beel is the part of a wide area of Piprul, Khajura, Madhnagar and Brahmapur Union of Natore Sadar Upazila. It is considered to be the 2nd Cox’s Bazar of Bangladesh according to its scenic beauty. From the Bengali month of Boishakh to Kartik, this bill goes around 5-8 feet underwater. Halti Beel is famous for the natural breeding of fish. Halati bill is attached to the River Atrai. A portion of Halti beel has been announced as fishery sanctuary where water remains throughout the year. In the rainy season, the landscape of this area is stunning and attractive. During the rainy season, many tourists of the Patul-Hapaniya area come here for boat trip.
The area is submerged in water for almost six months of the year. When this beel becomes saturated with water during the rainy season, the small villages look just like the islands. To enjoy the amazing beauty of this beel, many tourists, from home and abroad visit here every year. There is a submersible 8 km long road inside the Halti Beel connected Piprul union with Khajuria Union.

নাটোর সদর উপজেলার পিপরুল, খাজুরা, মাধনগর ও ব্রক্ষপুর ইউনিয়নের বিস্তৃত এলাকা হালতি বিলের অংশ। বৈশাখ মাস হতে কার্তিক মাস পর্যন্ত বিল এলাকা ৫ ফুট হতে ৮ ফুট পানিতে নিমজ্জিত থাকে। প্রাকৃতিক মাছের প্রজননস্থল হিসেবে হালতি বিল বিখ্যাত। হালতি বিল আত্রাই নদীর সাথে সংযুক্ত। শীতকালে হালতি বিলের যে অংশে পানি থাকে - তা মৎস অভয়ারন্য হিসেবে ঘোষনা করা হয়েছে। ফলে উক্ত অভয়ারন্যে শীতকালে যে মাছগুলোকে সংরক্ষন করা হয় - সেগুলো বর্ষাকালে হালতি বিলে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে এবং প্রজনন মৌসুমে প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশে প্রচুর পরিমান মাছ উৎপাদন করে। এ এলাকায় উৎপাদিত ছোট-বড় দেশী মাছ অত্যন্ত সুস্বাদু। বর্ষাকালে এ এলাকার প্রাকৃতিক দৃশ্য নয়নাভিরাম। বর্ষাকালে হালতি বিলে নৌ-ভ্রমনের জন্য পাটুল-হাপানিয়া এলাকায় প্রচুর পর্যটকের সমাগম ঘটে।
ব্রক্ষপুর, মাধনগর, খাজুরা ও পিপরুল এলাকার বিস্তৃত জলাভূমি হালতি বিল নামে পরিচিত। উক্ত এলাকা বৎসরের প্রায় ছয় মাস পানিতে নিমজ্জিত থাকে। বর্ষাকালে যখন এই বিলটি পানিতে পরিপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠে তখন এর মাঝে অবস্থিত গ্রামগুলিকে ছোট ছোট দ্বীপের মত মনে হয় । এই বিলের অপরূপ সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে এবং এ বিলে নৌকা ভ্রমন করতে দেশ-বিদেশে বহূ পর্যটকের আগমন ঘটে। এই বিলের মধ্য দিয়ে প্রায় ৮ কিমি লম্বা সাবমারজিবল রাস্তা রয়েছে - যা পিপরুলের সাথে খাজুরার সংযোগ ঘটিয়েছে।

Baikka Beel Sanctuary is to protect and restore aquatic biodiversity (particularly fish and birds) in Hail Haor. A secondary aim is through the visitor facilities to enhance enjoyment of the site and understanding of nature, the value of wetlands and need for their conservation. The sanctuary and its facilities are a model that can encourage replication of similar sanctuaries elsewhere in the country. Baikka Beel is a 100 ha wetland sanctuary located in Hail Haor a large wetland seasonally extending from 3,000-12,000 ha in north-east Bangladesh.
Baikka Beel comprises of open water with emergent vegetation (mostly lotus), and a fringe of native swamp forest planted in 5-8 years ago. Originally it was protected to conserve and restore fish and it supports about 90 species of fish, but populations of wintering water birds rapidly increased.
So far 141 bird species have been recorded in the sanctuary. Up to 9 Pallas’s Fish Eagles winter, Large flocks of ducks including up to 4,500 Fulvous Whistling-duck occur in winter, Great Spotted Eagle is regular, and good numbers and diversity of shorebirds, marshland warblers and other birds occur.
Mammals are few but include Fishing Cat. A visitor tower with several permanent interpretive displays was opened in early 2007. This is the only such facility in the country and this is the only substantial community managed wetland sanctuary in the country.
It is planned to construct a visitor centre and other facilities in 2010 with funds left over from the earlier MACH project. Visitor number have not been recorded as reliably as would be ideal, but are in the low thousands per year and include student groups, diverse government officials, and a wide range of foreign visitors.

হাইল হাওড়ের জীব বৈচিত্র্য (মূলত পাখি ও মাছ) রক্ষা করাই হল বাইক্কা বিল অভয়ারণ্যর মূল উদ্দেশ্য। এছাড়া এখানে আগত একজন পর্যটক যেন এই স্থানটি উপভোগ করার পাশাপাশি প্রকৃতিকে কাছে থেকে বুঝতে পারেন এবং জলাভুমি সংরক্ষণের গুরুত্ব বুঝতে পারেন সেটিও এই অভয়ারণ্যর আরেকটি উদ্দেশ্য। এখানকার অভয়ারণ্য ও সেটিকে ঘিরে তৈরি হওয়া সুযোগ সুবিধাসমূহ দেশের অন্যান্য স্থানেও আরও অভয়ারণ্য গড়ে তোলার ক্ষেত্রে রোল মডেল হতে পারে।
বাংলাদেশের উত্তর-পূর্বে হাইল হাওড়ে প্রায় ১০০ হেক্টর জলাভুমির ওপর অবস্থিত এই অভয়ারণ্যটি কোন কোন মৌসুমে ৩০০০ হেক্টর থেকে ১২০০০ হেক্টর পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত হয়। বইক্কা বিলে রয়েছে মূলত শাপলা ফুল এবং প্রায় পাঁচ থেকে আট বছর পূর্বে রোপণ করা জলজ গাছ। এই বিলে প্রায় ৯০ প্রজাতির মাছ বাস করে। তবে এখানে শীতকালে আগত অতিথি পাখিদের সংখ্যাও দিন দিন বেড়ে চলেছে।
এ পর্যন্ত এই অভয়ারণ্যতে প্রায় ১৪১ প্রজাতির পাখিদের দেখা মিলেছে। এগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে প্রায় ৯ প্রজাতির ফিশ ঈগল উইন্টার, প্রায় ৪৫০০ ফুল্ভাস হুইসটলিং হাঁস সহ শীতকালে আগত হাঁসদের বিশাল বহর। এছাড়া এখানে নিয়মিত গ্রেট স্পটেড ঈগল সহ বিভিন্ন ধরনের পাখিদের দেখা মেলে। এখানে স্তন্যপায়ী প্রাণীদের দেখা কম মিললেও মেছোবাঘের দেখা পাওয়া যায়।
২০০৭ সালের শুরুতে এখানে স্থায়ী ভিত্তিতে উদাহরন ভিত্তিক ব্যাখ্যাসহ একটি পর্যবেক্ষণ টাওয়ার চালু করা হয়। এটিই দেশের একমাত্র জলাভূমি যেখানে এ রকম সুবিধা প্রদান করার পাশাপাশি অভয়ারণ্যর মাধ্যমে প্রাণী জগতকে নিরাপদ করা হয়েছে। এমএসিএইচ প্রকল্প থেকে বেঁচে যাওয়া অর্থ দিয়ে ২০১০ সালে অন্যান্য সুযোগ সুবিধাসহ এখানে একটি ভিজিটর সেন্টার গড়ে তোলার পরিকল্পনা করা হয়। এখানে আগত দর্শনার্থীদের সংখ্যা সংরক্ষণ করা না হলেও প্রতি বছর এ সংখ্যা হাজার ছাড়িয়ে যায়। এখানে আগত দর্শনার্থীদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন ছাত্র, সরকারি চাকুরে, বিদেশী পর্যটকসহ নানা বয়সের নানা শ্রেণীপেশার মানুষ।

Gurr River, the actual name of this place is Nagar River, but popularly known by the locals as Gurr. It is one of the beautiful rivers of Bangladesh. It is situated at Singra Upazila of Natore district near “Singra Upazila Health Complex”. It is very small but, looks very pleasant. There is a very large sized bill beside this river. The coordinate is 24° 30' 54.43" N 89° 8' 42.75" E. The Bridge was built years ago, the exact year was not found, but it’s really helping the people in establishing business connection on both sides of the river.
