১৯৯৯ সালের ১১ই সেপ্টেম্বর যাত্রা শুরু করা বিসিএস কম্পিউটার সিটি ঢাকার প্রাণকেন্দ্রে জাতীয় সংসদভবনের নিকটে শের-ই-বাংলা নগরের আগারগাঁওতে আইডিবি ভবনে অবস্থিত। এছাড়া মিরপুর, শ্যামলী, এবং ফার্মগেট থেকেও ভবনটির দূরত্ব খুব বেশি নয়। নজরকাড়া স্থাপত্যশৈলীর অধিকারী আইডিবি ভবনে রয়েছে আধুনিক সকল সুযোগসুবিধা আর এ কারনেই প্রতিদিন প্রচুর মানুষ এখানে আসেন কেনাকাটা করতে। প্রায় ১০০,০০০ বর্গফুট আয়তনের চারতলা এই ভবনে ১৫৬ টির অধিক দোকান রয়েছে যেখানে কম্পিউটারের বিভিন্ন হার্ডওয়্যার, আনুসাংগিক যন্ত্রপাতি এবং এ সংক্রান্ত বিভিন্ন পণ্য বিক্রি করা হয়ে থাকে। সুতরাং বিসিএস কম্পিউটার সিটি শুধুমাত্র একটি শপিং কমপ্লেক্সই নয় বরং এটিকে বলা যেতে পারে দেশের আইটি শিল্পের কেন্দ্রস্থল।
