On Dhaka-Betka (Sirajdikhan) highway after passing Sirajdikhan and crossing the river Isamoti, a Hindu Moth is seen on the left side. This moth is called the Fegnasar Moth which is actually a Shiva Temple.
It is 150 feet in height, making it visible from the highway. There is a Shiva Linga inside the moth. Devotees pray here almost regularly. Like other Hindu Moths it has magnificent wall structure. The total place and surrounding is decorated with flower garden specially Joba(Chinese Rose). According to ritual, tulsi plant and jasmine tree is also cultivated.
Specialty of this place is, the Moth was established about 200 years ago. Obviously at that time the road structure was not likewise today. The moth is situated inside a large crop field. It is actually like an island surrounded by rice field. So that if you want to come here, you have to walf from the highway through an off-road trail inside the crop field. In rainy season, the way becomes very muddy and slippery. But you will still enjoy a lot!
Please do not refer this place to people as "Fegnasar Shiva Mandir" because there is another Shiva temple in this locality in this name. Just ask for the "Moth".

[post_content] => Jor-bangla, also called char-chala or yorubangala, is a style of temple architecture that arose in Bengal. The style involves two structures that resemble the traditional village huts of the region, one that serves as a porch, in front of the other that serves as a shrine.

Sri Sri Shib Bari Naat Temple is a renowned Shiva Temple in Manikganj Sadar Upazila. It was established in the year 1954. But, it has been renovated in several times. It is not just a single temple but a complex of other features surrounding this temple. Goddess Kali's murti is situated just outside of this temple in a hut. Beside this hut there is a Crematorium adjacent to a lake name Borai Khal (বড়াই খাল). Spiritually this place is very sacred one in Hindu religion. Just at the left side of crematorium there is a pond here, where local people used to have their bath in daytime.
At the time when ORB (Offroad Bangladesh) team visited that temple it was very calm & quiet. Though, it is assumed that at the night time people do worship at this temple using various types of musical instruments.
There is a tin shed house situated inside of this temple, Which is being used as a center of pre religious studies for Hindu religion. A Brahman lives in this house who teaches the children and conduct the worshiping inside the temple.
