The 300-year old Teota Zamindar Palace (তেওতা জমিদার বাড়ী) at the village Teota under Shibalaya Upazila in Manikganj District still stands with pride & dignity becoming a living testimony to the history of that time. Travelers and explorers can't resist the temptation of having a look at the captivating old palace when they pass through the area. There is a temple just adjacent to this old palace named 'Nava-Ratna Temple' (নব-রত্ন মন্দির). For the readers concern, it is to inform that there are very few 'Nava-Ratna' Temples in Bengal.
According to the stone inscription found in Nava-Ratna Temple inside of the Teota Palace, this palace was constructed during the years between 1702 to 1703. As per this account, the age of the building is more than 300 years. Hemshangkar Estate consists of the buildings located on the north side of the main buildings of Teota Zamindar Palace and establishments on the southern side of Zamindar Palace form Joyshangkar Estate. There is a hidden chamber called ‘black pit’ in the underground of the southern building. Four storied Nava-Ratna Temple stands in front of the south building. It is 75 feet high. There are four more temples near the south building. The Zaminder Palace in Teota is established on 7.38 acres of land. Some portions of the building have collapsed.
Features and Origins
The navaratna style of temple architecture (Sanskrit: नवरत्न, meaning "nine gems") incorporates two main levels, each with four spired corner pavilions, and a central pavilion above, for a total of nine spires. The style arose in Bengal during the eighteenth century as an elaboration of the pancharatna (পঞ্চ রত্ন) style that had five pavilions (four at the corners and one above).

A Buddhist temple has been discovered in the territory of 2500 years old fort city named Wari-Bateshwar,Narsingdi. It has been located 14 kilometer away from the mother site of Wari-Bateshwar. It has been discovered at the village of Tongir tek, Shibpur upazila, Narsingdi. After discovering, the team of Archaeologist from Jahangirnagar University named it as ‘Tongir tek Mandir Vita’. Researcher conducting excavation there, assuming that it might be 1500 years old ancient Buddhist temple. With the discovery of this feature, it has been evaluating as a milestone in Buddha religion.
Along with the extended excavation, Researcher also collecting the seeds and pollens from this site. This collection will help a broad-spectrum research to reveal the environment, life style and eventually food habits of ancient people.
Researcher came to knew about the temple in the year of 2011, and they started excavating the site in 2012 where they found a parent room (গর্ভগৃহ) of the temple. Currently, researchers said that they have completed one-fourth of the excavation. Along with parent room of this temple there are Mandap & a Corridor interconnected which is a great sign of a complete ‘Buddhist Temple’.
There is a copperplate named ‘ASHRAFPUR COPPERPLATE’ also discovered from the same Upazila, previously. Where it was mentioned that there were four ‘Buddhist Bihar or Biharika’ in that region. Now, Archaeologist trying to discover those by excavating this temple. Generally, Buddhist Bihar is a part of the Temple & located very near to the worshipping house. May be someday, Archaeologist will discover the Bihar along with this Temple which will bring a new dimension in Buddha religion of Bangladesh.

Jora Shiv Mandir is located at the Sukulpotti area of Natore Sadar. It is assumed that this Shiv Temple was established by the adopted daughter of High Queen Rani Bhabani. In Sangskrit language, Shiv means happy/benevolent/kind/eminent. Also, as for a person’s name, it is meant as auspicious/ propitous. This temple is also known as Sree Sree Mohakali and Jora Shiv Mandir.
In the Bangla month of Falgun, the 14th lunar day’s night of dark fortnight is considered as the Shiv-night which is very auspicious for Hindu women. This temple holds the architectural beauty and history of many many years.The outer scenario and design can easily depict the expert artistical work and the inclination of hte then architects. every year, Hindu community celebrate very gorgeous Durga Puja in this temple.

[post_content] => Ashram of Loknath Baba is a holy place for Bengali Hindu pilgrimages and religious people in Mymensingh. Everywhere in our country a pilgrim from Hindu religion will find a Ashram devoted for the worshiping. In Mymensingh city ORB team experienced couple of Ashrams on the edge and nearby Brahmaputra river. All around the year people worship here but in the month of June of every year this Mymensingh Loknath Babar Ashram becomes more festive at the event of Tirodhan Dibos (on Tithi) of Baba Loknath.
Great quotation of Baba Loknath to his devotees: “Whenever you are in danger, whether in war, forest, ocean or jungle, remember me. I shall save you.”
Baba Loknath was born on 31 August 1730 (Bengali calendar 18th Bhadra, 1137) on the sacred day of Krishna Janmashtami in in the village of Chaurasi Chakla, named as Kochua, few miles far from Kolkata, North 24 Parganas, now in West Bengal, India. He is from a Brahmin family. His father name was Sri Ramnarayan Ghoshal and mother name was Shrimatee Kamaladevi. He has lot of followers and devotees around the world. He has traveled many pilgrimages on foot of Persia, Arabia, Israel and Mecca. They believe at the age of 160, on June 1, 1890 C.E. Baba Loknath took his Samadhi (Left his life means died).
