Shombhu Chand Thakur was one of the most famous monk in these arena. His temple was established in 1126 Bangla Era, but restructured and renovated in 1376 BE (Bangla Era). Everyday many people come to this temple and pray to fulfill their heart’s desire.
People of Hindu Religion come here to vow or promise something. And for the fulfillment of a desire, they worship through offering to a deity (or leaving food taken by a superior), money, flower (china-rose) etc. inside an earthen cup and place it in the root of the tree behind the temple to conclude their worshipping.
The Ashram has been renovated in recent times. However, in the last century, around the period 1990s, there was a moth made with old narrow bricks in the bank of Narad River, just south of the Ashram premises.
This Ashram is located in Kanaikhali Purbapara (পূর্বপাড়া), beside the city tower. After reaching at Natore Sadar Madrasa Mor or Natore Bus Stand, take rickshaw to reach this place.
It is approximately 196.2 km away from Dhaka. You can reach Natore by both bus and train.
