This waterfall is known as Chhoto Darogar Hat Waterfall (ছোট দারোগার হাট ঝরনা), also known as Shohosro Dhara Waterfall-2 (সহস্র ধারা ঝরনা-২) as an irrigation project (the same name) was built using the water from the falls. Shohosro Dhara Waterfall-1 (সহস্র ধারা ঝরনা-১) is located inside the Sitakunda সীতাকুন্ড) Echo Park.

It is very easy village path for trekking and having lot of trees at both sides for the shades. It is around half an hour of walking to reach near a water dam named Shohosro Dhara (সহস্র ধারা) Irrigation Project. It uses to barrier the water from the waterfall.

The waterfall was very near from the irrigation project dam. You may not find the path to visit the top of the waterfall. You may find a view of another waterfall from that road and according to the local people, it may be very tough to access.

It is basically a tall but slim waterfall having very less amount of water during any season. It use to have water in a large amount (but not violent) only during the rainy days. As soon as the rain is gone, the waterfall starts to get less flow of water.

How to go

Shohosro Dhara Waterfall-2 is a very easy to access waterfall from Bangladesh. Hardly a trekking of less than an hour requires to reach at the bottom of the waterfall. Also, it doesn’t require to climb any hills or mountains those use to suck strength from the leg muscles.

1) First come to the Chhoto Darogar Hat of Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong district. GPS Coordinate of the place is (22°39’34.37″N, 91°38’8.14″E). You can come here by CNG driven vehicle or local bus services.

2) Start trekking directly from here, or hire any CNG to drop you as much as possible near to the waterfall (its few minutes after crossing the rail line). Or, use your CNG at step (1) to drop you as much as that can.

3) After the dropping zone, start walking towards the waterfall. It’s only a single road to walk. If you face any doubt, ask local people for the assistance. The GPS Coordinate of the Shohosro Dhara Waterfall-2 is (22°40’23.85″N, 91°39’32.43″E).

Bisanakandi is situated at Bangladesh-India border in Sylhet. It is a landscape beauty among gardens and hills. Bichanakandi is a village situated in Rustompur Union under Guainghat Upazilla. This is where many layers of the Khasi mountain meet at a single point from both sides. Flowing from above is a high fall. Adding to its charm are dark clouds hugging the mountain in the rainy season. And flowing underneath towards Bholaganj is a branch of the Piyain. Along the stream flowing from high up in the mountain come huge boulders that are deposited and mined in Bisanakandi.

Much like Jaflong, Bichnakandi is mostly a quarry. Winter is not a suitable time to visit Bisnakandi due to mechanized mining and stone-laden boats and lorries. The absence of such nuisance makes the rainy season the perfect time to visit the beautiful Bisanakandi that coalesces the charms of high mountains, sinuous rivers, graceful falls and dancing clouds.

সিলেটের গোয়াইনঘাট উপজেলার রুস্তম ইউনিয়নে বাংলাদেশ-ভারত সীমান্তে অবস্থিত একটি গ্রামের নাম বিছানাকান্দি। বাগান এবং পাহাড়ের নজরকাড়া সৌন্দর্যের মাঝে অবস্থিত প্রকৃতির এই অপরূপ লীলাভূমির উভয় প্রান্ত থেকে খাসি পাহাড় এসে যুক্ত হয়েছে। এখানে ঝর্ণার পাশাপাশি বর্ষাকালে কালো মেঘ পাহাড়গুলোকে আচ্ছাদিত করে ফেলে। এছাড়া এখানে ভোলাগঞ্জ অভিমুখে বয়ে গিয়েছে পিইয়াইন নদীর একটি শাখা। পাহাড়ি ঢলের সাথে বয়ে আসা বিশাল পাথরখণ্ডগুলো বিছানাকান্দিতে এসে পড়ে এবং পরবর্তীতে এই পাথরখণ্ডগুলোকে এখানেই ভাঙ্গা হয়।

জাফলং এর মত বিছানাকান্দিও একটি খনি এলাকা। পাথর বোঝাই নৌকা, ট্রাকের আনাগোনা এবং পাথর উত্তোলনের কারনে শীতকাল বিছানাকান্দিতে আসার জন্য একেবারেই উপযুক্ত সময় নয়। তবে, বর্ষাকালে এখানে পাথর উত্তোলনের ফলে সৃষ্ট দূষণ না থাকায় আপনি এখানে এসে উঁচু পাহাড়, শান্ত নদী, মায়াবি ঝর্ণার সৌন্দর্যের পাশাপাশি রোদ ও মেঘের লুকোচুরি উপভোগ করতে পারবেন।

Bangladesh is a land of beauty, and it is blessed with boundless natural wonders. Pukur Para Jhorna or Waterfall is just one such wonder. This country has several waterfalls scattered all around. The waterfall is located in the Bilaichhori Thana of Rangamati district. To reach the waterfall, you need to use the trekking routes from Bandarban. FYI, it is just few hundred meter from the Bandarban district's border.

This waterfall is currently the widest waterfall from Bangladesh. It has a width of approximately 80 meters and a height of 4-6 feet on an average. During the rainy season, you will not be able to see any stones from the waterfall. The only thing visible is the cascade of water, fresh and beautiful. Some people call this place the "Niagara of Bangladesh". If you walk alongside the stream, it takes around 40-50 minutes to reach at the bottom of the waterfall stream. Except during the rainy season, the path is in good condition, but during rainy season, it is advised to not walk that road as the slippery path is a serious life risk.

This waterfall starts from the water of Raikhong Canal and the water finally ends up in the great Kaptai Lake. Some people used to call this Raikhong River and in line with the name of the Canal/River, some people used to call this waterfall the Raikhong Waterfall. For your information, it is called Pukur Para Waterfall, because there is a village near the waterfall named Pukurpara.

Trekkers used to create a make-shift shelter at Pukur Para village and only visits the waterfall for a few hours. But if you make your trip a bit wisely, you can set few tents around the waterfall during summer or winter for nighttime camp out. There are numerous dry and clean places around the waterfall for your camping. Just imagine sleeping beside a waterfall at night; the sound of the rushing water, a full moon & a sky full of stars away from all the hustle and bustle of the city, absolute bliss.

The height of this waterfall is slight bigger than the previous one. But to my judgement, previous one was more delicate than this one. Water of this Kasing Jhorna falls over a 'stair like' place beneath the waterfall and splashs all around. Patang Jhiri Waterfall is located at Ruma Upazila in Bandarban. Patang Jhiri waterfall is also near to Boga Lake. Patang Jhiri is situated before the way of Boga Lake. When a traveler travels to Boga Lake he should visit Patang Jhiri waterfall. In rainy season it is very difficult to reach at the top of the waterfall but in winter some undaunted traveler climb at the top of the Patang Jhiri Waterfall. Patang Jhiri is not very big waterfall but its structure and surrounding view is really exceptional.

If you are a trekker from Bangladesh, then you are already familiar with the "Jiri Path". Its a walking path where you have to walk through the water streams which are coming from the top of the hill. The water level is very low here. Most of the cases an average of 1 feet or less. But some places from the "Jhiri" are having very deep water level.

There are several areas under the waterfall where the water gathers, and made those a natural bathtub. The main one, where the water dropping directly, having no depth found so far. Many people tried, but couldn't find the depth. The teal colored crystal water from the basin is really something. It will be hard for you to leave the place.

বগা লেকের পূর্বেই পাতাং ঝিরি ঝর্ণা অবস্থিত। বগা লেক দেখতে গেলে আপনার পাতাং ঝিরি ঝর্ণা দেখতে যাওয়া উচিত। বর্ষাকালে এই ঝর্ণার উপরে ওঠা খুবই দুরহ হলেও শীতকালে কোন কোন নির্ভীক পর্যটক পাতাং ঝিরি ঝর্ণার উপরে উঠে থাকে। এই ঝর্ণাটি খুব বড় না হলেও ঝর্ণার গঠন এবং চারপাশের দৃশ্য এক কথায় অদ্বিতীয়।
