Magurchara, also called as Magurchara Khashia Punjee, is the name of the locality situated on the Moulvibazar gas reservoir in the Surma basin, an area rich in hydrocarbon reserve. Next to the ruined gas field, a person can see the village where The Khashia Tribe live. The name of the village is Magurchara Punjee. You can see their houses built very specially on top of the hill. They reside as a unique society with few ministers as heads.
You can visit the punjee with their permission. You will see endless miles of betel leaves being planted with long trees being the mainstay. The Khashia are congenial in nature. There are seven punjees in Kamalganj and ten in Sreemangal. You might be astound after observing their way of life.
{:}{:bn}সুরমা অববাহিকার ওপর অবস্থিত মৌলভীবাজার গ্যাসক্ষেত্রের আওতাধীন হাইড্রকার্বনের মজুদ সমৃদ্ধ একটি জনপদের নাম মাগুরছড়া। এখানকার পরিত্যাক্ত গ্যাস ক্ষেত্রের পাশেই রয়েছে মাগুরছড়াপুঞ্জি নামের একটি গ্রাম যেখানে আদিবাসী খাসিয়া সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষজন বাস করে। খাসিয়ারা তাদের বাড়ি পাহাড়ের উপর বিশেষভাবে তৈরি করে। খাসিয়া সমাজে কয়েকজন মন্ত্রী গোত্র প্রধান হিসেবে কাজ করেন যাদের অনুমতি নিয়ে আপনাকে এই পুঞ্জিতে ঢুকতে হবে। এই পুঞ্জিতে গেলে আপনি দেখতে পারবেন বড় গাছগুলোকে মূল ভিত্তি করে কিভাবে মাইলের পর মাইল এলাকায় পান চাষ করা হয়েছে। বন্ধুবৎসল স্বভাবের খাসিয়াদের জীবনযাত্রা প্রত্যক্ষ করে হয়ত আপনি অবাক হবেন। কমলগঞ্জে খাসিয়াদের সাতটি এবং শ্রীমঙ্গলে দশটি পুঞ্জি রয়েছে।{:}

At Abhaynagar Upazila, there is a small village called Dhoolgraam (ঢোলগ্রাম). It once had a magnificent complex of 17 Hindu temples, but there is only one now. Most of the temples were destroyed by the Bhairab River. A beautiful terracotta design can be seen all over the temple. It is considered a very holy place by Bengali Hindus. In Vaatnogor at Abhaynagar Upazila, ruins of eleven temple complex, dedicated to Lord Shiva, remains. Though the central temple is partially destroyed, the site still shows the majesty of Bengal's glorious past.

অভয়নগর উপজেলার একটি ছোট গ্রামের নাম ঢোলগ্রাম। একসময় এই গ্রামে ১৭টি নয়নাভিরাম হিন্দু মন্দির থাকলেও বর্তমানে মাত্র ১টি মন্দির টিকে আছে। বেশীরভাগ মন্দিরই ভৈরব নদীর করাল গ্রাসে বিলীন হয়েছে। এখানকার মন্দিরটি হিন্দুদের কাছে একটি অত্যন্ত পবিত্র স্থান হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়ে থাকে এবং মন্দিরটিতে চমৎকার টেরাকোটার নকশা রয়েছে। অভয়নগর উপজেলার ভাটনগরে দেবতা শিবকে উৎসর্গ করে নির্মাণ করা ১১টি মন্দিরের ধ্বংসাবশেষ দেখতে পাবেন। এই স্থানটি বাংলার গৌরবময় অতীতের স্মারক বহন করছে।

Monipuri Para of Khashpur is located in Srimangal Upazila of Moulvibazar district. Majority of the Monipuri population of the country live in Moulvibazar. Adampur and Madhabpur are their main residence. Their products have great demand in all parts of the country and abroad. If a tourist couldn’t attend to the Ras-Mela or the Monipuri village itself; he/she would find these Monipuri products in local markets of the town. The Monipuri community is also renowned for their dance. Their unique dance reflects their tradition and heritage. If you are visiting this part of the world, you should not miss the chance of watching Monipuri dance.
In 1765, during the rule of Bhagyochandra, Manipur Royal Moirangthem Gobinda led a group of Monipuri who deserted Manipur, India and found a settlement in Kapoor in Srimangal. The Manipuri’s has different lifestyle and culture. You can visit them in this village and watch the Monipuri girls knitting yarns, which include Sarees, Shawls, Dupatta, Bed sheets and Bed covers.

১৭৬৫ সালে ভাগ্যচন্দ্রের শাসনকালে মইরাংদেম গোবিন্দর নেতৃত্যে একদল মনিপুরি ভারতের মনিপুর থেকে পালিয়ে এসে শ্রীমঙ্গলের কাপুর নামক স্থানে স্থায়ী হয়। মনিপুরিদের রয়েছে ভিন্ন রকমের জীবনযাত্রা এবং সংস্কৃতি। এখানকার গ্রামে এসে আপনি মনিপুরি মহিলাদের হাতে বোনা শাড়ি, শাল, দুপাট্টা, বিছানার চাদর, তৈরি করা প্রত্যক্ষ করতে পারেন।{:}

Majority of the Monipuri population of the country lives in Moulvibazar. Adampur and Madhabpur are their main residence. Monipuri Community is famous for their culture and traditions. The Ras Mela is a yearly celebrated festival of the Monipuris. Every year in November which is the beginning of Bengali month of Agrahayan this festival is arranged. People from all around come to visit and enjoy this Mela. Traditional Monipuri costumes ‘Khami’ and their homemade products are exhibited and sold here. Monipuri community makes their clothing themselves. Almost every family there owns a handloom. It is a part of their culture to weave their own cloths. Besides Khami they produce various other products like – shawl, sari, bed sheets and bags. These products have great demand in all parts of the country and abroad. Even if you don’t visit the Ras Mela or the Monipuri village itself you can find these Monipuri products in local markets of the town.
