Bangladesh Government made this memorial in memory of Bir Shrestho Mostafa Kamal in his fatherland Moutupi mouja which is under Alinagar union in Bhola district. A lot of memorial points of 1971 are here. Library, auditorium and the memories which come to mind to travel away the majesty of the image. In museum the memorial marks of war history are preserved.
Mostafa Kamal was born in 1947 at the Poshchim Hajipur village under Daulatkhana Upazila in Bhola district. His father was a Habildar in the army. Kamal had his education only up to second grade and spent most of childhood with his father at the Comilla Cantonment. On 16 December 1967, Kamal escaped from his house and joined the East Bengal Regiment. Mostafa Kamal was a well known boxer. During the mid March in 1971, he was transferred from Comilla Cantonment to the headquarters of the 4th East Bengal Regiment at Brahmanbaria.
As the Bangladesh Liberation War started in 1971, East Bengal Regiment had taken the control of Brahmanbaria with three Defence bases at Aashuganj, Ujanishwar and Anderson lake. But Pakistani army continued attacking with their heavy artillery in these places. As a result, East Bengal Regiment retreated back to Aakhaura, Shangi Nagar and Daruin. 2nd Platoon was sent to Daruin to reinforce the troops. Mostafa Kamal was a soldier of this platoon. Major Shafayat Jamil verbally declared him as the Lance Naek and gave him the responsibility of leading a team. He died at Daruin on 18 April 1971 during a battle against the Pakistan Army. He was buried at Daruin. He was posthumously rewarded as “Bir Shrestho”, the highest gallantry award in Bangladesh. A postage stamp was also published to pay respect to him.

বরিশাল বিভাগের ছয়টি জেলার একটি হল ভোলা। ভোলার উত্তরে লক্ষ্মীপুর ও বরিশাল জেলা, দক্ষিনে বঙ্গোপসাগর, পূর্বে লক্ষ্মীপুর জেলা, নোয়াখালী জেলা, মেঘনা নদী ও শাহবাজপুর চ্যানেল এবং পশ্চিমে পটুয়াখালী জেলা অবস্থিত।
ঢাকার গাবতলি এবং সায়েদাবাদ বাস টার্মিনাল থেকে ভোলার উদ্দেশে নিয়মিত বাস ছেড়ে যায়। ভোলায় সড়কপথে যাওয়ার জন্য রয়েছে দুটি পথঃ একটি বরিশাল অতিক্রম করে এবং অপরটি লক্ষ্মীপুরের উপর দিয়ে।
ঢাকা থেকে ভোলায় বেশকিছু লঞ্চ সরাসরি যাতায়াত করে তাই আপনি নদীপথে ভোলা পৌছাতে পারবেন। ঢাকা থেকে ভোলায় চলাচলকারী লঞ্চগুলোর মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য হলঃ

এই লঞ্চগুলো ঢাকার সদরঘাট লঞ্চ টার্মিনাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা ৭:৩০ মিনিট এবং রাত ৮ টার মধ্যে ভোলার উদ্দেশে ছেড়ে যায় এবং পরদিন ভোর ৬ টা থেকে ৬:৩০ মিনিটের মধ্যে ভোলায় পৌঁছে। এই লঞ্চগুলোতে প্রথম শ্রেণীর ভাড়া ৯০০/- টাকা এবং তৃতীয় শ্রেণীর ভাড়া ২০০/- টাকা।

ভোলায় থাকার জন্য রয়েছে পর্যাপ্ত ব্যাবস্থা। ভোলা জেলায় একটি সার্কিট হাউজ ছাড়াও প্রতি উপজেলায় রয়েছে উপজেলা পরিষদের অধীনে একটি করে বাংলো। এখানে বেশকিছু বেসরকারি হোটেল ও মোটেলও রয়েছে। আপনার সুবিধার্থে কিছু হোটেল সম্পর্কে তথ্য নিম্নে প্রদান করা হলঃ

There are few restaurants along highway road and in the local markets, most serving Bangladeshi standards. But expectations regarding foods should not be high.

There is a memorial located behind Alinagar High School playground and it is a one storied building. The memorial possess different kinds of books stored in the museum library which helps the people to know the real history of Liberation War of Bangladesh.
