Brief

Jora Shiv Mandir is located at the Sukulpotti area of Natore Sadar. It is assumed that this Shiv Temple was established by the adopted daughter of High Queen Rani Bhabani. In Sangskrit language, Shiv means happy/benevolent/kind/eminent. Also, as for a person’s name, it is meant as auspicious/ propitous. This temple is also known as Sree Sree Mohakali and Jora Shiv Mandir.

In the Bangla month of Falgun, the 14th lunar day’s night of dark fortnight is considered as the Shiv-night which is very auspicious for Hindu women. This temple holds the architectural beauty and history of many many years.The outer scenario and design can easily depict the expert artistical work and the inclination of hte then architects. every year, Hindu community celebrate very gorgeous Durga Puja in this temple.

After reaching at Natore Sadar, take rickshaw and go to Sukulpotti. You can find that temple just before the Government Mohila College. Also, you can ask anyone for the direction.

Ram Thakur was a Hindu saint from Bengal, who had followers mostly from East Bengal; now Bangladesh and Tripura. He worked among people of various castes and faiths. He is also known as Shri Koibolyonath to his followers. He was born in the Bramhin Bidyalankar family at Dingamanik(Naria), in Shariatpur district, Bangladesh, on 2 February 1860 to father Radhamadhab Chakrabarty and mother Kamala Devi. Ram Sadhur Asram was named by Ram Thakur. It is the most favorite Hindu Structure in Shariatpur.

রামঠাকুর ছিলেন বাংলার একজন হিন্দু সাধক। তাঁর বেশীরভাগ ভক্তই ছিল পূর্ব বাংলায় (বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ ও ত্রিপুরা)। বিভিন্ন বিশ্বাস এবং ধর্মের মানুষদের মধ্যে বিচরণ করেছেন তিনি। ভক্তদের রামঠাকুর পরিচিত ছিলেন শ্রী কৈবলযোনাথ নামে। ১৮৬০ সালের ২রা ফেব্রুয়ারি বর্তমান শরীয়তপুর জেলার ডিঙ্গামানিক (বর্তমান নড়িয়া উপজেলা)নামক স্থানে ব্রাহ্মিন বিদ্যালঙ্কার পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহন করেন রামঠাকুর। তাঁর পিতার নাম ছিল রাধামাধব চক্রবর্তী এবং মাতার নাম ছিল কমলা দেবী। রামসাধুর আশ্রমের নামকরন করা হয়েছে রামঠাকুরের নামে। এই আশ্রমটি শরীয়তপুর জেলার সর্বাধিক জনপ্রিয় হিন্দু স্থাপনা।

Khagrachhari (Bengali: খাগড়াছড়ি) is a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Its local name is "Chengmi". Khagrachhari is also known as Phalang Htaung or the Mong Circle (of the rest of the three hill districts Rangamati is the Chakma Circle and Bandarban is the Bohmong Circle). Khagrachhari town is the home town of the Mong Chief (currently King, or Raja, Saching Prue Chowdhury who is the head of the Arakanese descendants living in the circle. It also is the administrative headquarters of Khagrachhari district.

Panchari Shantipur Aranya Kutir - 25 km south from Khagrachhari is peripheral region. The largest Buddha sculpture of Bangladesh (Panchari Brihot Buddha Sculpture) is situated here.

Ramu Temple is located at Ramu Upazila, in a typical Buddhist village located 16 kilometers away from Cox's Bazar. It is accessible from the main highway leading to Chittagong. The village accommodates monasteries, khyangs and pagodas. It has images of Buddha in gold, bronze and other metals inlaid with precious stones inside the pagodas.

Temple on the Bagh Khali River houses relics along with a 13 feet high bronze statue of Buddha rested on a six feet high pedestal. Wood carvings here is rare and refined. In the village weavers ply their trade in open workshops and craftsmen make handmade cigars.

Local people are barely familiar with the name of this temple. Even the temple's land owner doesn't know the actual name of this temple. So, we had to make people understand the nature of this temple to find it out. After finding the temple, we came to know that this temple is familiar with the name Binoy Shadhur Mandir (মন্দির) rather 'Radha Gobindo' temple. It's to be mentioned that Binoy Shadhu is taking care of this temple for long 80 years. He said, he was 120 years old. He along with his Shadhu named 'Mongola Rani Das' discovered this temple. It was very hard to find out the real time period of this temple. Interviewing local people and Binoy shadhu, we could assume that it might be a thousand year old temple, which is very near to destruction. A big banyan tree has grown through the middle of this temple. Every Bengali year, people arrange a fair in the month of Chaitro (চৈত্র). Basically, Chaitro Shonkrantir Mela (চৈত্র সংক্রান্তির মেলা) is a common festival in Bangladesh. In this event, Binoy Shadhu used to show some magic which has a long time Spiritual recognition to the normal people around there. ) )
