Gouri Moth (a sacred place dedicated to the culture of Krishna lifestyle) was established in 1943 in Barodia, Kalia, Narail. After a couple of renovations, it is still there to welcome the devotees of Lord Srikrishno. There are some other Gourio moths in entire Bangladesh too. The most prominent one is in Dhaka at Narinda/Wari area.
In 1943, Turyaswami established the original temple after which he put the idol of Radha-Krishno in it. In 1971, during the liberation war of Bangladesh, Pakistani Army destroyed almost everywhere temple in Bangladesh but luckily the Narail area was a base of Bangladeshi Freedom Fighters so that they did not manage to destroy the temple. However, the temple needed renovation, so another Guru (religious preacher) Santo Goswami made a reconstruction of the temple complex.
25 years ago, from Rajstan (India), a White Shiv Lingam has bought in here. Now it is a Shiv Temple too and people come to worship the lingam. It is made of White Marble which is only one of the tenth of its entire criterion in Bangladesh. To see another marble made white Shiv lingam, you need to visit the Rajshahi Barenda Museum or Khulna Divisional Museum.
Few years back, idol of new Radha-Krishno was brought into this temple as well. So, now the temple looks almost as a new structure but many people did not know that it is a historical place and also a heritage sight of Bangladesh especially for the hindu religious people. It is basically a Krishna Temple that means they worship Krishna mainly. In every year during the eve of Krishna's Birthday (Jonmastomi) they arrange a three days program to celebrate it. About 1000 local Hindu people attends the dinner (bhog/prosad) and they sings the holy krishna songs for the entire night.

Hoarshi Shahi Mosque (হোরশী শাহী মসজিদ) is actually known as Masjidpara Mosque (মসজিদপারা মসজিদ). But now a days no one knows this name anymore. Also, the local people pronounce Hoarshi as Horshi (হোরশী), more precisely Orshi (ওরশী), Hosshi (হসশি). People from this particular area pronounce Bengali words in different tone. They will find the bookish words from your mouth so much funny.
This mosque was built during 675-76AD, according to a Persian inscription that is affixed permanently over the central doorway. It was mainly a square shaped mosque having a single dome over the roof which covers almost the overall roof.
Department of Archaeology announced this as a protected monument of the country. As it is a small mosque, to accommodate more people inside the mosque premise, local people built an extension at the three sides of the mosque. The extension is having tin shade roof, and for that it’s pretty hard to locate the original mosque.

From early ages it's very familiar that Munshiganj was a sacred place for Hindu and Buddha religious people. simultaneously, it was also famous for some Muslim religious saint as well. The most ancient mark of Muslim civilization of Vikrampur is the "Tetul Tolar Mazar" (তেতুল তলার মাজার) also known as "Baro Aouliar Mazar"(বারো আওউলিয়ার মাজার) in Boro Keoar village under Munshiganj district.
This place is believed to be a very sacred place from early days. There were about 12 graves divided into two rows. Muslims used to perform various religious practices like Milad, Zikr and recitation from holy Quran at this place. The Mazar was renovated in 1974. A stone was discovered at time of renovation work. The stone was inscribed with names of 12 Muslim clerics. The stone was also marked with "Kalema Tayeba" and "Hizri 421" which means the inscription of the stone dates back to 974 AD.
Munshiganj was then known as Vikrampur. The king of Vikrampur during that time was Maharajadhiraj Sree Chandra. This marks the evidence of prevalence of Muslim community in Boro Keoar village, a place infested by Buddhists mainly. Since the renovatinon in 1974, Tetul Tolar Mazar is now famous as "Baro Aouliar mazar".
The names of Arabic Muslims that was found inscribed on the stone are:
1) Shah Sultan Hossainy (R)
2) Sultan Sabbir Hossain (R)
3) Taqbeer Hashemee (R)
4) Al Hassan (R)
5) Sheikh Hossain (R)
6) Abul Hashem Hossainy (R)
7) Hafez Abu Bakar Siddique (R)
8) Hazrat Yaseen (R)
9) Obayed Ibn Muslim (R)
10) Hazrat Abdul Halim (R)
11) Hazrat Shahadat Hossainy (R)
12) Hazrat Abdul Kahar Al Bagdadi (R)
