Brief

Vatodara Shiv Mandir (ভাটোদাড়া শিব মন্দির) is located in Dighapatia near the Dighapatia Rajbari. This temple was established near a 100 years ago, as the local says. Whereas, Vatodara Kalibari, mainly uses for worshipping in various occasions, was built recently. In various occasions like Durga Puja or Kali Puja, people from Hindu religion of this locality greatly celebrate their rituals here. Although, Vatdara Shiv Mandir remains almost dysfunctional and out of care, people of the area largely come and worship in Kalibari.

How to go

After reaching at Natore Sadar Upazila, take rickshaw to visit Vatodara Shiv Mandir, which is around 1 km away from Dighapatia main road of Kalibari or Kali Mandir, which is just beside the main road. You have to ask the Rickshaw puller to take you to the Shiv Mandir.

Explorers team of Offroad Bangladesh travelled here for the quest of old traditional zamindar house and observed that there was no any existence of such kind of house.Instead the existence of house (House of Labu Babu), There was just only a Temple of Kali being found so far. Where devotees used to worship only on Sunday evening. This place is known as Babu Bari.

It is assumed that there was a 300 years old house located here at Bejgaon Village, Louhojong, Munshiganj. It was built by a renowned Merchant named Labu Babu. This old house was abandoned and totally demolished now.

Ram Thakur was a Hindu saint from Bengal, who had followers mostly from East Bengal; now Bangladesh and Tripura. He worked among people of various castes and faiths. He is also known as Shri Koibolyonath to his followers. He was born in the Bramhin Bidyalankar family at Dingamanik(Naria), in Shariatpur district, Bangladesh, on 2 February 1860 to father Radhamadhab Chakrabarty and mother Kamala Devi. Ram Sadhur Asram was named by Ram Thakur. It is the most favorite Hindu Structure in Shariatpur.

রামঠাকুর ছিলেন বাংলার একজন হিন্দু সাধক। তাঁর বেশীরভাগ ভক্তই ছিল পূর্ব বাংলায় (বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ ও ত্রিপুরা)। বিভিন্ন বিশ্বাস এবং ধর্মের মানুষদের মধ্যে বিচরণ করেছেন তিনি। ভক্তদের রামঠাকুর পরিচিত ছিলেন শ্রী কৈবলযোনাথ নামে। ১৮৬০ সালের ২রা ফেব্রুয়ারি বর্তমান শরীয়তপুর জেলার ডিঙ্গামানিক (বর্তমান নড়িয়া উপজেলা)নামক স্থানে ব্রাহ্মিন বিদ্যালঙ্কার পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহন করেন রামঠাকুর। তাঁর পিতার নাম ছিল রাধামাধব চক্রবর্তী এবং মাতার নাম ছিল কমলা দেবী। রামসাধুর আশ্রমের নামকরন করা হয়েছে রামঠাকুরের নামে। এই আশ্রমটি শরীয়তপুর জেলার সর্বাধিক জনপ্রিয় হিন্দু স্থাপনা।

Khagrachhari (Bengali: খাগড়াছড়ি) is a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Its local name is "Chengmi". Khagrachhari is also known as Phalang Htaung or the Mong Circle (of the rest of the three hill districts Rangamati is the Chakma Circle and Bandarban is the Bohmong Circle). Khagrachhari town is the home town of the Mong Chief (currently King, or Raja, Saching Prue Chowdhury who is the head of the Arakanese descendants living in the circle. It also is the administrative headquarters of Khagrachhari district.

Panchari Shantipur Aranya Kutir - 25 km south from Khagrachhari is peripheral region. The largest Buddha sculpture of Bangladesh (Panchari Brihot Buddha Sculpture) is situated here.

At Golapganj village about six kilometer distance of Dinajpur District head quarter there has an old temple name "Twin temple" locally known as "Jora Mandir". It records that the Jora Mandir was established by Raja Ramnath (1722-1752) in 1676 Shaka era (1754 AD). Now it almost in ruins cause of no care. If you go there you will find 2 Mandir (Temple). Distance between two Temple 100 meters. One of the two is a 25 ratna twelve-sided structure, while the other is a 5 ratna quadrangular temple. The vicinity area of the temples are acquired by the local people, and they have built their own houses around the temple. The area of the Mandir are acquired by the local people, and they have establish their own houses side the temple. Thereby causing serious damage to the structures. Both temple are beautiful.
