Brief

Vatodara Shiv Mandir (ভাটোদাড়া শিব মন্দির) is located in Dighapatia near the Dighapatia Rajbari. This temple was established near a 100 years ago, as the local says. Whereas, Vatodara Kalibari, mainly uses for worshipping in various occasions, was built recently. In various occasions like Durga Puja or Kali Puja, people from Hindu religion of this locality greatly celebrate their rituals here. Although, Vatdara Shiv Mandir remains almost dysfunctional and out of care, people of the area largely come and worship in Kalibari.

How to go

After reaching at Natore Sadar Upazila, take rickshaw to visit Vatodara Shiv Mandir, which is around 1 km away from Dighapatia main road of Kalibari or Kali Mandir, which is just beside the main road. You have to ask the Rickshaw puller to take you to the Shiv Mandir.

Sri Sri Shib Bari Naat Temple is a renowned Shiva Temple in Manikganj Sadar Upazila. It was established in the year 1954. But, it has been renovated in several times. It is not just a single temple but a complex of other features surrounding this temple. Goddess Kali's murti is situated just outside of this temple in a hut. Beside this hut there is a Crematorium adjacent to a lake name Borai Khal (বড়াই খাল). Spiritually this place is very sacred one in Hindu religion. Just at the left side of crematorium there is a pond here, where local people used to have their bath in daytime.

At the time when ORB (Offroad Bangladesh) team visited that temple it was very calm & quiet. Though, it is assumed that at the night time people do worship at this temple using various types of musical instruments.

There is a tin shed house situated inside of this temple, Which is being used as a center of pre religious studies for Hindu religion. A Brahman lives in this house who teaches the children and conduct the worshiping inside the temple.

Handial Jagannath Temple (হান্ডিয়াল জগন্নাথ মন্দির) is an old temple located at Handial (হান্ডিয়াল) village of Chatmohor Upazila of Pabna district. As it is located at the Handial village, it is known as Handial Mandir too.

It is a single door small sized temple which was built using bricks. This temple gets narrower as it is progressing upwards. Only the front wall of the temple has some terracotta. The temple is placed over a high plinth.

From the inscription, it is found that the temple was reconstructed by someone named Bhobani Proshad during 1590. But scholars are assuming that the temple was built even another 100 years before from that time.

The whole temple premise is under a boundary. Another two newly temples are being constructed at the both side of the old temple. There is a small chariot (রথ) available inside the premise. Also, a Mondop (মন্ডপ) is available for the upcoming Hindu festival Durga Puja (দূর্গা পূজা).

Temple of Sree Choitanner Matutalai lies at Joypur of Bhubal Upazilla, 8 km away from Shayestaganj at Sreemangal-Shayestaganj road. This temple is very holy place for Hindu community, since it's been the mother’s home of Sree Choitanner, the founder of ‘Boishnob’ religion.

Sri-Sri Madan Mahan Ziub Kali Mandir (শ্রী-শ্রী মদন মোহন জিউব কালী মন্দির) is situated at Gobindaganj Upazila under the district of Gaibandha. It is approximately half kilometer away from Raja Biratnagar. A banyan tree and pond is situated just in front of the Mandir Complex. Everyday many tourist from different places come to visit here. Specially, in the month of Boishakh a fair is celebrated here.
