There are some few islands in the Mighty River Meghna. Locally these islands are called "Char" (চর). From Narsingdi to Chandpur, several chars are seen in the Meghna.
In Narayanganj-Munshiganj area (Sonargaon-Gozaria) there is seen three different islands. Locally they are named Char Balaki (বালাকি), Saydabad (সায়দাবাদ) or Gucchogram (গুচ্ছগ্রাম) and Nuner Tek (নুনের টেক). In Bangla, "tek" means some place isolated by water. Lalpuri Dorbar Sharif Complex is situated at Nuner Tek.
Lalpuri Shah was a preacher of Islam. When he came in this land no one can say exactly. People believe that the man had spiritual power to cure problems or illness. His actual date of demise is still unknown. Followers of him made a dorgah beside his tomb. Recently by the donation of people, a mosque with a tall minaret has made.
The island is isolated. Trawlers commute on scheduled time only on day time. But anyone can visit the place if he is willing to visit sonargaon. Trawlers go there in half an hour interval so anyone can go and after spending 30 minutes can return with the next trawler.

The Shrine of Hazrat Shah Mustafa (Ra) is located in Moulvibazar district of Sylhet division. Moulvibazar is also known as the land of the companion of famous Muslim Saint Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) the great torch bearer of Islam to this region. The Shrine of Hazrat Shah Mustafa (RA) a great companion of the greatest saint Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) is located at Moulvibazar town. Originally, with the advent of a great saint Hazrat Syed Shah Mustafa Sher-E-Sowar Chabukmar Baghdadi (RA) for preaching Islam, this Moulvibazar came to limelight.
Subsequently, in the year 1882, it was declared a Sub-division under the name of "South Sylhet". Later the Sub-division was renamed after the name of a local Bazar called Moulvibazar. In the year 1984, the then President H. M. Ershad upgraded this Sub-division as a District. The First Deputy Commissioner and the Police Super of the district were Shakir Uddin Ahmed and Mukleshur Rahman respectably.
The famous Muslim Saint, Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) brought Islam to this area hundreds of years ago. The Shrine of Hazrat Shah Mustafa (RA) a companion of the greatest saint Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) is located in Moulvibazar town. Originally, with the advent of a saint Hazrat, Syed Shah Mustafa Sher-E-Sowar Chabukmar Baghdadi (RA) for preaching Islam, Moulvibazar became famous. Moulvibazar got its name from one of the descendants of Hazrat Shah Mustafa, who was preaching there as a Moulavi.
{:}{:bn}হযরত শাহ মুস্তফা (রঃ) এর দরগা সিলেট বিভাগের মৌলভীবাজার জেলায় অবস্থিত। বৃহত্তর সিলেট অঞ্চলে ইসলাম প্রচারকারী মহান সাধক হযরত শাহজালাল (রঃ) এর সঙ্গী সাথীদের স্মৃতি বিজরিত পুণ্যভূমি হল মৌলভীবাজার। ইসলাম প্রচারের জন্য হযরত শাহ মুস্তফা শের-ই-সাওয়ার চাবুকুমার বাগদাদী (রঃ) এর আগমনের মধ্যে দিয়ে মৌলভীবাজার পাদপ্রদীপের আলোতে আসে। তাঁর দরগা মৌলভীবাজার শহরে অবস্থিত। মৌলভীবাজারের নামকরন করা হয়েছে হযরত শাহ মুস্তফার একজন উত্তরসূরির নামানুসারে যিনি একজন মৌলভী ছিলেন।{:}

Feni is a very small district from Bangladesh and it has very few things to explore from the main town. If you have time while staying at Feni, you can visit this Pagla Miar Mazar (পাগলা মিঞাঁর মাজার). Though it is named as Pagla Miyar Mazar, but the original name of him was Saiyad Amir Uddin He was born in 1823 at village Chhonua (ছনুয়া) of Fazilpur and died at 1887.

বাংলাদেশের একটি অত্যন্ত ছোট জেলা ফেনীতে দেখার মত তেমন কিছু নেই। ফেনীতে অবস্থানকালে আপনার হাতে সময় থাকলে পাগলা মিয়ার মাজারে ঘুরে আসতে পারেন। পাগলা মিয়ার মাজার নাম হলেও যিনি এটি নির্মাণ করেছিলেন তাঁর নাম হল সৈয়দ আমির উদ্দিন। তিনি ১৮২৩ সালে ফাজিলপুরের চৌলা গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহন করেন এবং ১৮৮৭ সালে মৃত্যুবরন করেন।

Borobagha Mazar Sharif is located in Nurpur Malanchi Village, 6 km West of Upazila Sadar. This Shrine is dedicated for Hazrat Shah Sufi Mawlana Mokarram Danismanda (R) and his few followers. Just beside this shrine, there is a relatively small tomb which is said to be popular as The Tiger’s Tomb (বাঘের কবর), which was his companion according to the locals.
There is a big Madrasa in Barabagha Mazar Sharif. Every year, around 20-25 students become Hafez-e-Quran from this madrasa. Every year, 10-day long exhibition is been celebrated during Eid-Ul-Fitr and thousands of people come here to attend and enjoy this celebration.

বড়বাঘা মাজার শরীফ তমালতলা মোড় হইতে প্রায় ৭০০ মিটার পশ্চিমে পাকা রাস্থা সংলগ্ন, রাস্থার উত্তর পার্শে অবস্থিত। এখানে উপজেলা সদরের ৬ কিঃ মিঃ পশ্চিমে নুরপুর মালঞ্চি গ্রামে হযরত শাহ মোকাররম দানেশমান্দ (রঃ) সহ তার কয়েকজন আওলিয়ার মাজার শরীফ আছে। উক্ত মাজারের পাশেই একটি অপেক্ষাকৃত ছোট কবর আছে যা তার সঙ্গী বাঘের কবর বলে জনশ্রুতি আছে। এই স্থানটিই বড়বাঘা মাজার শরীফ নামেই পরিচিত।
এখানে একটি বড় মাদ্রাসা আছে। এই মাদ্রাসা থেকে প্রতি বছর ২০/২৫ জন ছাত্র/ছাত্রী কোরআন শিক্ষায় হাফেজ হয়ে বের হয়। প্রতি বছর রোজার ঈদে ১০দিন ব্যাপি প্রদর্শনী হয় এবং লক্ষ লক্ষ মানুষ এই প্রদর্শনী উপভোগ করতে আসেন।
