Brief

Bhawal National Park was established and maintained as a National Park in 1974. It was officially declared in 1982 under the Wildlife Act of 1974. The core area of the park covers 940 hectares but extends to 5,022 ha of surrounding forest. Its purpose is to protect important habitats as well as to provide opportunities for recreation. The area was noted for peacocks, tiger, leopard, Black Panther, elephant, clouded leopard and samba deer. The park has 220 plant species, including 43 different tree species, 19 shrubs, 3 palms, 27 grasses, 24 vines, and 104 herbs. The wildlife in the park includes 13 mammals, 9 reptiles, 5 birds and 5 amphibians. In addition the Forest Department has recently introduced peacocks, deers, pythons, and catfish.

How To Reach: গাজীপুর জেলা

Dhaka-Tongi diversion road has connected Gazipur with Dhaka , and also Tongi – Kaligonj diversion road. There are 7 railway stations in the Gazipur district. They are: Rajendrapur, Sripur, Dhirasrom, Joydevpur, Tongi, satkhamair and Pubail.

Gazipur Town is connected through the City Bus. Pubail has city service Mohakhali to Narshingdi; called PPL(Pubail Paribahan Ltd.). And Dhaka to Kaligonj; this name is KTL, Adshy and other bus.

There are available buses 24 hours a day. It is easy to go Gazipur from Dhaka.

Train is also available from Komlapur railway station dhaka to Gazipur. Gazipur is an industrial area of Bangladesh. There are 7 railway stations in the Gazipur district. From Mohakhali any bus to go Gazipur bus stand (you can use CNG or Taxi also).

In Wari, exactly at "Tati Bazar Mor (তাঁতি বাজার মোড়)", there is a lovely place inside a boundary which is called "Nogore Nishorgo". This initiative had been taken by the Bangladesh government as a process of embellishment the Dhaka City. It is hard to find any beauty at this Dhaka city, almost no sign of green. Authority just wanted to give some green flavor by creating some artificial structures of this park.

Barshijora Eco Park is located in Moulvibazar Sadar, 2 km from the Zila Sadar. This eco park is also an attempt to conserve our precious nature. It is not yet that much developed as other eco parks. When you are in the town and have a little time with nothing to do at all, this might be the place you may make a short visit to.

Barshijora Eco Park was established on 887 acres of reserve forest near Moulvibazar town in 2006. The forest was declared reserve in 1916. Many timber and medicinal plants were planted there later. Two eco-cottages, four picnic spots, two observation towers, security posts, five public toilets and power supply line are there. The Eco Park also has many common species of fauna.

Dreamland is the most prominent park of Gaibandha district. It is located at Palashbari Upazila. A businessman, Nuronnobi Chan Mia built this park. People from different districts come here to visit this park. Different species of trees are planted here. For children many kinds of funny sculpture(ভাস্কর্য) are also available here . Here you can see a lot of sculptures of great person around the world. Besides,the sculptures of our national heroes are also built here. Among them AK Fazlul Hoque, Hossain Shaheed Sahrawardy (হুসাইন শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দী), Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, Bangabandho Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Ziaur Rahman, Bangabir M.A.G. Osmani (বঙ্গবীর এম. এ. জি. ওসমানী), Tajuddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam, Munsur ali, kamrujjaman etc are notable.

Here you can see stunning sculpture of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Begum Rokeya, Michael Madhusudan Datta (মাইকেল মধুসুদন দত্ত) etc. You may also see the sculptures of great scientist, Such as Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose (স্যার জগদীশ চন্দ্র বসু), John Beard (জন বেয়ার্ড), Michael Faraday (মাইকেল ফ্যারাডে), Alexander Graham Bell (আলেকজাণ্ডার গ্রাহায়েম বেল), Marconi (মার্কনী). Eid, Puja, Pahela Boishakh, Independence day, Victory Day and in other different festivals, many people gather in this place.
