Nazimgarh 'Nature Park' is located on the banks of the Sharee River at Lalakhal, a picturesque place at the base of the Jaintia Hills bordering the Indian State of Meghalaya. The 'Sharee' originates at a height of 1420 meters (4650 feet) from a place called Mitimyntdu, close to Jowai town of the West Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya. There, the river is known as Myntdu or "Ka Tawiarka Takam" (Our Guardian Angel) in the local Pnar (Khasi) dialect.
Encircling Jowai town on three sides, the Myntdu flows south through Leshka valley to reach Borghat village within Jaintia Hills before entering Bangladesh as the 'Sharee' at Lalakhal.
The river brings from the hills much sand and other minerals that give the waters a unique blue-green colour. While in the dry season the river is mild, its crystal clear water of an emerald colour, in the rainy season it become a raging torrent, at times over flowing its banks. Around 1340 AD, Ibne Battuta of Morocco, one of the gratest travelers of all time, is said to have travelled down this 'blue' river on his return journey after visiting Hazrat Shah Jalal in Sylhet.
'Nature Park' is on the banks of the river Sharee, near its sister resort 'Wilderness' which is located on the hillside. The 'River Queen' restaurant is the focal point with its panoramic view following the bend in the river. The 'Adventure Camp' tent site is nearby, under the shade of the surrounding trees. These comfortable tents give guests a sense of nature and adventure rarely available in other places. The clear night sky allows one to see stars with a clarity that needs to be experienced to be truly believed. It is Nature in its purest form.

{:}{:bn}নাজিমগড় ন্যাচারাল পার্ক সিলেটের লালাখালে সারি নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত। ভারতের মেঘালয় রাজ্যে সীমান্তবর্তী জৈন্তা পাহাড়ের পাদদেশে ছবির মত সুন্দর লালাখালের সারি নদীর তীরে নাজিমগড়ের ‘ন্যাচার পার্কটি’ অবস্থিত। সারি নদীর উৎপত্তি হয়েছে মেঘালয় রাজ্যের পশ্চিম জৈন্তা হিল ডিসট্রিক্টের জোয়াই শহরের কাছে অবস্থিত মিতিমইন্দু নামক স্থানে প্রায় ১৪২০ মিটার (৪৬৫০ ফুট) উঁচু থেকে। এখানে এই নদীটি খাসিদের ভাষায় মিন্দু অথবা “কা তাউইরকা তাকাম” (যার অর্থ আমাদের দেবদূত অভিভাবক) নামে পরিচিত। জোয়াই শহরকে তিনদিক থেকে ঘিরে থাকা মিন্দু নদীটি বাংলাদেশের লালাখালে সারি নদী হিসেবে প্রবেশের পূর্বে লেসকা ভ্যালীর মধ্যে দিয়ে দক্ষিন দিকে প্রবাহিত হয়ে জৈন্তা পাহাড়ের মধ্য দিয়ে বোরঘাট গ্রামে পৌঁছেছে।
পাহাড় থেকে সারি নদীর সাথে প্রচুর বালু এবং অন্যান্য খনিজ সম্পদ বয়ে আসার কারনে এই নদীর পানি নীল ও সবুজ রঙের সমন্বয়ে এক অপূর্ব বর্ণ ধারন করেছে। শুকনো মৌসুমে এই নদীটি শান্ত থাকে এবং এটির স্বচ্ছ পানি সবুজ রঙ ধারন করে। অথচ আবার বর্ষাকালে এই নদীটি এতটাই অশান্ত হয়ে ওঠে যে কখনো কখনো নদীর তীর প্লাবিত হয়ে যায়। আনুমানিক ১৩৪০ সালে বিশ্বের অন্যতম নামকরা পর্যটক মরক্কোর ইবনে বতুতা সিলেটে হযরত শাহজালাল (রঃ) এর সাথে সাক্ষাৎ করে ফেরার পথে এই ‘নীল’ নদীটি অতিক্রম করেছিলেন।
এই উদ্যানের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ হল ‘রিভার কুইন’ রেস্টুরেন্ট যেখান থেকে নদীর বাঁকের চমৎকার মনোরম দৃশ্য উপভোগ করা যায়। এই রেস্টুরেন্টের কাছে গাছের ছায়ায় রয়েছে ‘অ্যাডভেঞ্চার ক্যাম্পের’ তাঁবু। আরামদায়ক এসব তাঁবুতে অতিথিরা একদিকে প্রকৃতির কাছাকাছি আসতে পারবেন আবার পাশাপাশি অ্যাডভেঞ্চারও করতে পারবেন। এখানকার রাতের পরিষ্কার আকাশে আপনি তারাদের দেখতে পারবেন যা এখানে এসে নিজ চোখে না দেখলে বিশ্বাস করতে পারবেন না। এক কথায় বলা যায় যে প্রকৃতি তার বিশুদ্ধতম রুপে এখানে আবির্ভূত হয়েছে।

Natore Children Park is located at the Rajshahi-Bogra Highway, just opposite of Shankar Gobinda Chowdhury Stadium in Natore Sadar Upazila. This park consists of lot of elements. There is a big lake and a bridge over it. The big portion of the park is structured as children’s playground with several manual rides. And the small portion has animals made with clay for children attraction.
This park was established in the year 2003 by Advocate Ruhul Kuddus Talukdar Dulu, the then Deputy Minister of Land. The main reason behind building the park is to gather the general people of the locality for entertainment in various occasions. Also, because of not having available children playground, this was built to enhance their childhood, although people of all ages gather here every day.
Throughout the park, there are lots of seating arrangements. Usually every afternoon, people come here with their friends and family members to enjoy their leisure time. Also in any occasions, this park is being decorated for enlarging the tourist attraction.

Nuhash Polli was founded in 1997. Initially it covered 22 bigha of land. Now it covers around 40 bigha. Actor Dr. Ejaz helped procure the land. The heavenly 'village' was named after Nuhash, Humayun Ahmed and Gultekin Khan's (his first wife) son. Ahmed was very fond of music. He loved to live amidst nature and relished the date plantation, which he had set up inside Nuhash Polli.
Most paths in Pirozali (পিরুজালী) village, under Mirzapur union of Gazipur Sadar Upazila, are lined with thick Shal (শাল) forest. One path with its beautiful play of light and shadow, welcomes passers-by, leading them towards Nuhash Polli, 25 km from Gazipur Sadar. This was the heaven of Humayun Ahmed, a magician of words, who spent most of his time there after he started directing TV plays and films. Nuhash Polli was open to the public and visitors would traverse great distances to get a view of the picturesque estate.
There is a dighi (big pond) at the extreme north end of Nuhash Polli. A wooden bridge has been constructed over the pond. A tent was placed on an artificial island in the middle of the pond. Humayun Ahmed's wife, Meher Afroz Shaon, conceived a daughter who died before seeing the light of day. Ahmed called her Leelaboti, after whom the pond was named. Ahmed also wrote a multi-volume novel called “Leelaboti”.
A building called 'Bhutbilash' was constructed adjacent to the pond while Ahmed was receiving treatment in USA. The last time he visited Nuhash Polli, inaugurated 'Bhutbilash', hoping to behold a 'ghost', seated by the veranda of 'Bhutbilash' at midnight.
Nuhash Polli houses a large number of sculptures crafted by local sculptor Asaduzzaman Khan. Spectators cannot but be impressed by a sculpture, 'Ma O Shishu' (mother and child) at the entrance to Nuhash Polli. Ghost- shaped and frog-like sculptures have been made to amuse children. A tree house is a delight for children.
Ahmed enjoyed rainfall and moonlit nights. He created a room called “Brishti Bilash' from where he could observe the pattering rain. The green yard was always kept clean and tidy to indulge Ahmed's passion for watching the waxing and waning moon. The manager of Nuhash Polli, Bulbul, led a nine-member team in overseeing the overall management of the idyllic locale.
Whenever Humayun Ahmed travelled within and outside the country, he would collect various types of trees. About 300 species of medicinal and fruit trees can be found within the precincts of Nuhash Polli. The writer also had a tea plantation at Nuhash Polli, which still exists. Initially, Ahmed accompanied his guests while they wandered through the Nuhash Polli estate. He introduced the visitors to various species and would invite them to taste the leaves of a particular scented tree.
A swimming pool stands near the bedroom of the deceased writer. He would swim there at times with his dear ones. Once he swam with noted Indian litterateur Sunil Gangopadhyay. Nuhash Polli was Ahmed's favorite shooting spot for almost all the TV plays and films directed by him.

গাজীপুরের পিরুজালী গ্রামের বেশীরভাগ পথই ঘন শালবনে আচ্ছাদিত। আলো আধারিতে ঢেকে থাকা এমনই একটি পথ আপনাকে নিয়ে যাবে গাজীপুর সদর থেকে ২৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত নুহাশপল্লীতে। কথার জাদুকর হুমায়ুন আহমেদের জন্য নুহাশপল্লী ছিল একটি স্বর্গ। টিভি নাটক এবং চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাণ শুরু করার পর তিনি তাঁর বেশীরভাগ সময় এখানেই কাটিয়েছেন। সকলের জন্য উন্মুক্ত নুহাশপল্লীতে আসলে ছবিরমত সুন্দর এই জায়গাটি ঘুরে দেখতে পারবেন।
১৯৮৭ সালে ২২ বিঘা জমির উপর স্থাপিত নুহাশপল্লীর বর্তমান আয়তন প্রায় ৪০ বিঘা। অভিনেতা ডাঃ ইজাজ এখানকার জমিটি কিনতে সহায়তা করেন। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ এবং তাঁর প্রথম স্ত্রী গুলতেকিন আহমেদের একমাত্র পুত্র নুহাশের নামে নুহাশপল্লীর নামকরণ করা হয়েছে। গান এবং প্রকৃতির সান্নিধ্যে থাকতে ভালবাসতেন হুমায়ুন আহমেদ।জীবদ্দশায় সর্বশেষ নুহাশ পল্লীতে আসার পর তিনি নুহাশ পল্লীতে হেঁটে বেড়িয়েছিলেন এবং একান্ত কিছু মুহূর্ত প্রকৃতির কাছে থেকে অতিবাহিত করেছিলেন।নুহাশ পল্লীর উত্তর প্রান্তে একটি বড় পুকর রয়েছে যেটির উপর একটি কাঠের সেতু নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। পুকুরের মাঝে কৃত্রিম দ্বীপ তৈরি করে একটি তাঁবু টানানো হত। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ও তাঁর স্ত্রী মেহের আফরোজ শাওনের একটি কন্যা সন্তান পৃথিবীর আলো দেখার আগেই মারা যায়। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ তাঁর সেই কন্যার নাম দিয়েছিলেন লীলাবতি। এই পুকুরটির নামও রাখা হয়েছে লীলাবতি। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ লীলাবতি নামে একটি গ্রন্থও রচনা করেছেন।
হুমায়ুন আহমেদ যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে চিকিৎসাধীন থাকার সময় এই পুকুরের পাশেই ‘ভুতবিলাস’ নামে একটি ভবন নির্মাণ করা হয়। জীবদ্দশায় সর্বশেষ নুহাশ পল্লীতে আসার পর হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ভুত বিলাসের উদ্বোধন করেছিলেন। তিনি মনে করতেন মধ্যরাতে ভুতবিলাসের বারান্দায় বসে থাকলে ভুতের দেখা পাওয়া যাবে।
স্থানীয় স্থপতি আসাদুজ্জামান খানের তৈরি করা বেশকিছু ভাস্কর্য রয়েছে নুহাশ পল্লীতে। এখানে প্রবেশের সময় ‘মা ও শিশু’ নামক ভাস্কর্যটি দেখে মুগ্ধ না হয়ে পারবেন না। শিশুদের আনন্দ দিতে এখানে ভুত এবং ব্যাঙের আকারের ভাস্কর্য নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া এখানকার ট্রি হাউজটি শিশুদের আনন্দের অন্যতম উৎস।হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ভালবাসতেন বৃষ্টি এবং পূর্ণিমার রাত। বৃষ্টি দেখার জন্য তিনি ‘বৃষ্টি বিলাস’ নামে একটি কক্ষ নির্মাণ করেছিলেন। হুমায়ুন আহমেদ যেন চাঁদের ছায়া দেখতে পারেন এজন্য এখানকার সবুজ উঠান সর্বদা পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখা হত। নুহাশ পল্লীর ম্যানেজার বুলবুল নয়জনের একটি দল নিয়ে এখানকার সবকিছু দেখাশোনা করেন।
হুমায়ুন আহমেদ যখনই দেশে ও বিদেশে ভ্রমন করতেন তিনি বিভিন্ন রকমের গাছ সংগ্রহ করতেন। নুহাশ পল্লীতে প্রায় ৩০০ প্রজাতির ফলের এবং ঔষধি গাছ রয়েছে। এছাড়া তিনি এখানে খেজুর গাছ এবং চা গাছ লাগিয়েছিলেন যা এখনও আছে।প্রথমদিকে হুমায়ুন আহমেদ নুহাশ পল্লীতে মেহমান নিয়ে আসতেন যারা নুহাশ পল্লী ঘুরে দেখত। তিনি অতিথিদের বিভিন্ন গাছের সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিতেন এবং একটি বিশেষ সুগন্ধিযুক্ত গাছের পাতার স্বাদ গ্রহনের আমন্ত্রন জানাতেন।
বরেণ্য এই লেখকের শোবার ঘরের কাছেই রয়েছে একটি সুইমিংপুল। মাঝে মাঝে প্রিয়জনদের নিয়ে তিনি এখানে সাঁতার কাটতেন। একবার হুমায়ুন আহমেদ ভারতের প্রখ্যাত লেখক সুনীল গঙ্গোপাধ্যায় কে নিয়েও সাঁতার কেটেছিলেন। হুমায়ুন আহমেদের পরিচালিত বেশীরভাগ সফল নাটক ও সিনেমার শুটিং করা হয়েছিল এই নুহাশ পল্লীতেই।
