Brief
বিরিসিরির নীল পানির লেকটিকে স্থানীয়রা চিনামাটির লেক, চুনাপাথরের লেক, নীল পুকুর প্রভৃতি নামে সম্বোধন করে থাকে। শীতকালে এই লেকের নীল পানি হল সবচেয়ে বড় আকর্ষণ।ছোট এই লেকটিকে আপনি পুকুরও বলতে পারেন। সাধারণত শীতকালে পুকুরের পানি কাদাটে সবুজ রঙের হয়ে থাকে। কিন্তু এই লেকের পানি চিনামাটির জন্য নীল রঙ ধারন করে। চিনা মাটি খনন করার পর পুকুরের পানি নীল রঙ ধারন করে। স্থানীয়দের মতে পুকুরটির গভীরতা প্রায় ৬০ ফুট থেকে ৮০ ফুট।
চিনামাটিতে বিভিন্ন রকমের রাসায়নিক পদার্থ থাকে। এই পুকুরের পানির স্বাদ তেতো। সম্ভবত প্রচুর পরিমানে কপার সালফেট থাকার কারনে এখানকার পানি নীল রঙ ধারন করেছে।
নীল এই লেকটিতে যাওয়ার পথে আশেপাশের ছবির মত দৃশ্যের পাশাপাশি সমেশ্বরী নদীর অপার সৌন্দর্যে আপনি বিমোহিত হবেন। পুরো যাত্রাপথটি এতটাই আনন্দদায়ক যে আপনার বারবার যেতে মন চাইবে। আপনি যদি একজন আত্মবিশ্বাসী সাঁতারু হয়ে থাকেন তবে লেকের পানিতে শরীরকে ঠাণ্ডা করতে সাথে করে শর্টস আনতে পারেন। তবে সাঁতার না জানলে ভুলেও লেকের পানিতে নামবেন না।
সম্ভবত এটি বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র নীল পানির চিনামাটির লেক। ময়মনসিংহে আরো একটি চিনা মাটির লেক থাকলেও সেটি এই লেকের মত এত সুন্দর নয়। তাই কোনকিছু ফেলে লেকের পানিকে দুষিত করবেন না।

দুর্গাপুরে পৌঁছে রিকশায় করে আপনি চিনামাটির পাহাড় ও লেক দেখতে আসতে পারবেন। এখানে পৌছাতে প্রায় ৩০০/- টাকা রিকশা ভাড়া দিতে হবে তবে রিকশাওয়ালাকে খুব সকালে আসতে বলাই ভাল। চিনামাটির পাহাড়ের জিপিএস অবস্থান হলো (২৫°৯’৩১.২৯”উ, ৯০°৩৮’২২.২১”পু). চিনামাটির পাহাড়ে পৌছানোর পথটি আপনার সুবিধার্থে নিম্নে প্রদান করা হলঃ
১। ঢাকার মহাখালি থেকে বাসে করে নেত্রকোনার বিরিসিরিতে পৌছাবেন।
২। প্রায় ২৫০/- টাকা থেকে ৩০০/- টাকায় রিকশা ভাড়া করতে হবে। সবচেয়ে ভাল হবে যদি আগের রাতে রিকশাভাড়া করে রাখেন এবং পরদিন খুব সকালে রিকশাওয়ালাকে আসতে বলেন।
৩। রিকশাওয়ালা আপনার গাইড হিসেবে কাজ করবে।
৪। চিনামাটির পাহাড়ে চড়তে এবং আশেপাশের এলাকা দেখতে প্রায় ৪ ঘণ্টা থেকে ৫ ঘণ্টা সময় লাগবে।
৫। হাতে সময় কম থাকলে আপনি মোটরসাইকেল ভাড়া করতে পারেন। তবে, দ্রুত চললে আপনি প্রকৃতিকে উপভোগ করতে পারবেন না।

Bir Kamalar Dighi is situated in the Kakara Union of Chakaria Upazila. Its site was once full of archaeological relics. Mr. Abdur Rashid Siddiqui, in his research work “Rnoai Tatwa”, has made reference to a stone-inscription found on the bank of this tank. It could not be deciphered at that time. At present there is no trace of it. There is a reference of this tank in the “Rajmala”, the history of the Tippera kings. It has been described in the “Rajmala” that a tank was excavated by the Tippera army after it had attacked Roshang and penetrated up to Ramu during the reign of King Dhany Manikya of Tippera in 1513-14 A.D.
From this it can be supposed that the Tippera army had this tank excavated after the conquest of Chakria. It was named Bir Kamalar Dighi after Kamala Devi, wife of King Dhanya Manikya.

Harishchondro dighi (হরিশ চন্দ্র দিঘী) was made/built by the legendary king Harishchondro for the inhabitants of Rampal Village. It is believed that the water level of this pond remained low along the year but it gets high dramatically during the full moon especially once in a year in the Winter Season. A fair is held here around the place annually. For the local Hindu people, this pond was a sacred place. Hindu's made some rituals near this pond to set marriage of their unmarried daughters. Now this lake is used by the common people.
