Natore Moharaja JN High School and College is the oldest institution located at Bongojol (বঙ্গজল) area in Natore Sadar Upazila. This institution was established in 1884 as a high school by Maharaja Jagadindranath Roy (1868-1926) in his ruling era. Later on, it has been declared as a college. It is a boys’ school.

University of Rajshahi or Rajshahi University (Bengali: রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় Raajshaahi Bish-shobid-daloy) is a public university located in Rajshahi, a city in north-western Bangladesh. University of Rajshahi was established in 1953, the second university to be established in what was then East Pakistan.

The university's forty-seven departments are organized into nine faculties. Rajshahi University is located in a 753 acres (3 km²) campus in Motihar, 3 kilometres (2 mi) from the Rajshahi city center. With 25,000 students and close to 1000 academic staff, it is one of the largest universities in Bangladesh. In addition to hosting programs in the Engineering, arts, sciences,agriculture, social sciences, business studies and medical sciences, the university houses a number of institutes of higher studies. This is the premier university in Bangladesh to have online subscription of world renowned journals. The first proposal to establish a university came in 1917, when Calcutta University created the Sadler Commission to assess the university system in Bengal. However, the recommendations of the report had no immediate consequences.

Following the Partition of India in 1947, what is now Bangladesh became East Pakistan. University of Dhaka, established in 1921, was the only university in East Pakistan at the time. Demand for a university in the northern part of East Pakistan gained momentum when two universities were established in West Pakistan without the establishment of any in the east. Students of Rajshahi Collegewere at the forefront of the movement demanding a new university. Finally, Rajshahi was selected as the home for the second university in East Pakistan and the Rajshahi University Act of 1953 (East Bengal Act XV of 1953) was passed by the East Pakistan provincial Assembly on 31 March 1953. Itrat Hossain Zuberi, the Principal of Rajshahi College was appointed the first Vice-Chancellor of the university. Initially, the university was housed in temporary locations, such as the local Circuit House and Bara Kuthi, an 18th-centuryDutch establishment. B B Hindu Academy, a local school, housed the library, teachers' lounge and the medical centre of the university. The university started out with 20 professors, 161 students (of which 5 were female) and six departments—Bengali, English, History, Law, Philosophy and Economics. In 1964, the offices moved to the permanent campus.

After independence, a new act regarding the administration of the university came into being—the Rajshahi University Act of 1973. The post-independence years saw the university grow steadily in student enrollment and size of the academic staff. However, the 1980s were turbulent years for the university, as the students agitated with other institutions of the country against the military rule of Hossain Muhammad Ershad. Since early 1990s, the university have seen relative calm and lowering of session backlogs, though active student politics remains a contentious issue to date.

Kobi Nazrul Government College was established at 1874, but it had a different name that time. Later on changing different names at different times, it’s ended at its current name. After entering the college, you'll find the administration building of the college. Just behind the admin building, its class rooms are located. The college's class room building is U shaped, and inside contains a large ground. The classroom building has 3 floors.

At the end of the ground, you can see a monument which is a token of the commemoration for the 1952 language martyrs. It’s a small one, and black in color. From first look, it will give you a mix taste of the Shahid Minar and the Smriti Shoudho.

Rajendra Government University College is not far away from the main town. This college was established at 1918. Initially it was listed by the government. But later on 1968 it was listed by government. This is the oldest college from the town. Our famous poet "Jasim uddin" was a student of this institution, also he was working with the University of Kolkata from here for research purpose.

When entered inside the college premise, you have found an abandoned building. It was an academic building when this college was build. But accruing with the time, now some new buildings are raised up, and we don't need the old one. Inside the college building, the pillars from the corridor are really eye catching. The round pillars are ornate at the top, and it seems the mixture some British and Muslim culture.

১৯১৮ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত রাজেন্দ্র সরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কলেজটি ফরিদপুর শহর থেকে খুব বেশি দূরে অবস্থিত নয়। ফরিদপুরের প্রাচীনতম এই কলেজটি প্রথমে বেসরকারি হলেও ১৯৬৮ সালে এটিকে সরকারিকরন করা হয়। বিখ্যাত কবি জসীমউদ্দিন এই কলেজের ছাত্র ছিলেন। এখান থেকে তিনি গবেষণার জন্য কলকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাথে কাজ করতেন। কলেজ প্রাঙ্গনে প্রবেশের পর আপনি একটি পরিত্যাক্ত ভবন দেখতে পাবেন। কলেজ প্রতিষ্ঠার সময় এই ভবনটি কলেজের একাডেমিক ভবন ছিল। কিন্ত সময়ের সাথে নতুন ভবন নির্মাণের ফলে পুরাতন ভবনটি আর কাজে আসছে না। কলেজ ভবনের অভ্যন্তরে করিডরের পিলারগুলো এককথায় নজরকাড়া। নকশার কাজ করা পিলারগুলোর নির্মাণশৈলীতে মুসলিম এবং ইংরেজদের সংস্কৃতির মিশ্রণ লক্ষ্য করা যায়।
