Brief

Natore Children Park is located at the Rajshahi-Bogra Highway, just opposite of Shankar Gobinda Chowdhury Stadium in Natore Sadar Upazila. This park consists of lot of elements. There is a big lake and a bridge over it. The big portion of the park is structured as children’s playground with several manual rides. And the small portion has animals made with clay for children attraction.

This park was established in the year 2003 by Advocate Ruhul Kuddus Talukdar Dulu, the then Deputy Minister of Land. The main reason behind building the park is to gather the general people of the locality for entertainment in various occasions. Also, because of not having available children playground, this was built to enhance their childhood, although people of all ages gather here every day.

Throughout the park, there are lots of seating arrangements. Usually every afternoon, people come here with their friends and family members to enjoy their leisure time. Also in any occasions, this park is being decorated for enlarging the tourist attraction.

How to go

After reaching at Natore Sadar, take rickshaw or Auto rickshaw to visit this beautiful park. Ask the driver to take you to the stadium where this attraction is located.

You can dine at Cicily Chinese Restaurant, just in the South-East corner of the park.
You may lookout the Stadium if it’s open.
You can visit the DC Park, just to the North-West of the Children Park and observe the small roadside lake and fountain.

Nazimgarh Wilderness is likely one of the most exclusive tropical resorts located at Lalakhal on the north eastern corner of Bangladesh. Natore DC Park is located near Natore Children Park in the Rajshahi-Bogra Highway, inaugurated in 1^st January 2006. The inaugurator of this aesthetic concept was Mr. Mohammad Ilias Hossain, the Collector, District Magistrate and District Commissioner of Natore. The main intention behind building this park was to beautify and redecorate the District Commissioner’s Office, but it has been a tourist attraction these days. Apart from that attractive park, there is a lake and fountain yard in between the park and main road. This lake was inaugurated in 16^th September, 2013 by Mr. Zafar Ullah, The Deputy Commissioner of Natore District.

Each day, many of the inhabitants come to this lovely environment to enjoy their leisure time with family and friends in the yard. The Antarctic natural air frost may amaze you by bringing tranquility into your mind.

Shopnopuri is a great Amusement Park which is situated at Aftabganj of Nababganj in the district of Dinajpur. This a theme park which covers an area of 920 acre. You will need to buy ticket to enter inside the park. Dhaka (Capital of Bangladesh) to Dinajpur by bus will take about 9-11 hours.

Shopnopuri is one of the most beautiful artificial picnic spot in Bangladesh especially in North Bangle. You can go there either from Hill or from Dinajpur. There you can enjoy here by watching artificial beauty. One can spend night also In Shoponopuri rest house but for that he/ she will have to book in advance. Here lots of picnic parties come every day.

The entry fee of Shaopnopuri theme park is 20 taka per person. At the gate, two statue of angels are waiting to welcome you. This park is divided into some parts.

After entering Shopnopuri, you can go to “Fish World”. Its ticket fee is only 5 taka per person. Inside the “Fish World”, you can see artificial water plants, fished and various water animals.

After visiting fish world, you can go to “Animal Kingdom”. Entry fee 5 taka per person. Here you can see artificial statue of some animals like Amu, Flamingo, Dinosaur, Pegasus etc. This part is great for kids. “Rongdhony Art Gallery” is another beautiful part of Shorpopuri. You can see here, many different kinds of sculptures and paintings. Entry fee 5 taka per person.

“Moha Maya Indrojal” is another part of Shopnopuri. Here you can enjoy magic. Entry fee 5 taka per person.

The Bangabandhu Jamuna Eco Park in Sirajganj, which could become a lucrative spot pulling in local and foreign tourists, has been in a sorry state for years. The park, about 125 kilometres north-west of Dhaka, has over 50 varieties of timber, fruit and medicinal trees and a zoo, but fails to draw many tourists due to a lack of necessary facilities and publicity, said visitors and officials concerned.

The 600-acre park on the western end of Jamuna bridge at Soydabad in the district was opened to public in 2008, but the authorities have not taken any initiatives to attract tourists. During a recent visit, this correspondent found the park in a state of neglect, with only a handful of visitors. The park has a small zoo with only four cages that accommodate only two sick porcupines and a few monkeys and hares.

Seven spotted deer were released into the park when it was opened, and their numbers redoubled in five years. But the animals have been suffering due to a severe shortage of drinking water, with no ponds dug in the forest, sources said. Ibrahim Khalil, in-charge of the park’s wildlife and c, said there were two peacocks in the park, but they were shifted to Dhaka after they fell sick a few months ago. “Visitors, especially children, love to see animals and birds. Therefore, more of these creatures could be brought to the zoo,” Khalil said, adding the government could earn huge revenues from the park if it was taken care of.
