Brief

Ramu Temple is located at Ramu Upazila, in a typical Buddhist village located 16 kilometers away from Cox’s Bazar. It is accessible from the main highway leading to Chittagong. The village accommodates monasteries, khyangs and pagodas. It has images of Buddha in gold, bronze and other metals inlaid with precious stones inside the pagodas.

Temple on the Bagh Khali River houses relics along with a 13 feet high bronze statue of Buddha rested on a six feet high pedestal. Wood carvings here is rare and refined. In the village weavers ply their trade in open workshops and craftsmen make handmade cigars.

Gunjanath Temple is located in Boro bazar of Kaliganj Upazila of Jhenaidah district. The Gunjanath temple was built in 17th century by the then King in Kaliganj Upazila. There are other old temples in that locality. This place can be reached from Naldanga also.

Ram Krishna Mission of Bijoypur will be on the left side of the road during your ride towards the BDR camp. You can pass your few minutes at that place by holding your rickshaw or motorbike.

There are several buildings exist inside the premise including a temple. Also a medium sized pond is available in front of the temple.

Vatodara Shiv Mandir (ভাটোদাড়া শিব মন্দির) is located in Dighapatia near the Dighapatia Rajbari. This temple was established near a 100 years ago, as the local says. Whereas, Vatodara Kalibari, mainly uses for worshipping in various occasions, was built recently. In various occasions like Durga Puja or Kali Puja, people from Hindu religion of this locality greatly celebrate their rituals here. Although, Vatdara Shiv Mandir remains almost dysfunctional and out of care, people of the area largely come and worship in Kalibari.

People are always calm and quiet, and so does their religious places. This place is free from any crowds. Inside there, most of the people talks in a low voice (or you should say modest). After entering inside the main premise through the gate, you can find two temples there. One is having a large statue of the Buddha. And the other one is having two statues (local people say this as the statue of Bhante of Rangamati Bihar (ভান্তে, রাঙামাটি বিহার), and who died recently). In between the two temples, there is a small field like place available which is shaded by a medium sized tree. ) )
