Brief

The waterfall named Shoilo Propat at Milanchhari, is 4 km away from the town on the road to Thanchi. Shoilo Propat is one of the most visited natural falls in Bangladesh. During the rainy season the flow of this fall becomes vigorous. The water of this fall is chilly and transparent. Near the Shoilo Propat 2-3 villages have grown up for the availability of water. It is a good source for drinking water and household use for the local community. There is a small market near the Shoilo Propat for trading local people’s handicrafts, hand loom products and food. You can closely see the struggling lifestyle of this regions community.

How to go

After reaching at Bandarban, take local transport to reach that waterfall in Thanchi Upazila. So you can hire a private jeep or auto rickshaw to go there.

There are no direct flight services available from Dhaka to Bandarban. However, you can travel to Chittagong by air and then take a bus or private car to reach Bandarban. Bangladesh Biman, United Airways, Regent Airways and Novo Air, all provide flight services to Chittagong.

You can watch golden sunset in the evening and also enjoy evergreen moonlight at night. It is foggy in the morning during the whole winter season.

Sripur is another beautiful tourist spot where you can see the waterfall with great tide falling from the hills. Besides the enchanting views of the area, one can also have a glimpse of the waterfalls across the border of India. Very Big stones sometimes are coming in this waterfall in Sripur. After completion of visiting Jaflong and Tamabil you must visit Sripur on the way to go back to Sylhet. It's only 7-8 km from Jaflong on the same road to Sylhet a sub road entered into Sripur waterfall. Here you can see the stone collection and orange garden if you go inside Sripur crossing the hills.

Shuvolong Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall in Rangamati. The only available path to reach at the waterfall is through the lake. People visit there by boat. It is a famous place with the tourists for the waterfall, high hills and the natuarl surrounding it offers. This waterfall is just before the Shubholong Bazar. So that Shuvolong is easily accessible by speed boat or motor boats from Rangamati.

Pang Thu Mai Village is a bordering village. It is located in Gowainghat district. This village looks fabulous under the hills of Indian state of Meghalaya. Many hills and waterfalls from Meghalaya form the river Peain. The land for agricultural works is very large inside the village. The Barahill falls is located actually in between Bangladesh-India border. The waterfall belongs to India and the lake belongs to Bangladesh. The atmosphere of this place is electric. Shohosrodhara falls, an another waterfall, located in 2 km walking distance from Suptadhara falls. This falls has almost no water like Suptadhara falls in the dry season. From the flow of the falls, "Suptadhara falls" is created. So it’s certain that if here is no water, you cannot expect any water at other one too.

From the top of the hill, you have to get down using the stairs to reach the bottom of the Shahasradhara falls. It’s easy to get down, but it’s a bit hard to get up. It will cost plenty of your energy. So be prepare for this.

সুপ্তধারা ঝর্ণা থেকে মাত্র ২ কিলোমিটারের হাঁটা দূরত্বে সহস্রধারা ঝর্ণাটি অবস্থিত। সুপ্তধারা ঝর্ণার মত এই ঝর্ণাটিতেও শুষ্ক মৌসুমে পানি থাকে না। এই ঝর্ণাটি সুপ্তধারা ঝর্ণার পানি থেকেই সৃষ্ট। পাহাড়ের উপর থেকে সিঁড়ি দিয়ে আপনাকে সহস্রধারা ঝর্ণার নীচে নামতে হবে। মনে রাখতে হবে ঝর্ণায় নামার কাজটি সহজ হলেও পাহাড়ে ওঠার কাজটি কিন্তু বেশ কঠিন এবং এজন্য আপনাকে প্রচুর শক্তি খরচ করতে হবে।
