Brief

The mosque is oblong size and it has three domes. Its volume is about 10.66m*4.11m. In-front of this masjid beside the surrounded yard there is an entrance door which is made by Bangladeshi local culture. There are also 4 corner tower which is higher than the corner of the roof and finished as a size of kiupola. By dividing the oblong ate mosque in three parts with 2 literal vault here it is 3 made semi round domes. 3 mirhab,the in-front wall, para-pate wall,and the drums of thedomes all r designed with beautiful panel,spinach,flower, geometrical sizes and as hoods of snake.From the inscription of the wall it is known that the masjid was made by sheikh Mohammad Asher son of Sheikh Mohammad saber in 1226 hijri (1801).

It is situated about a half km away from the Rangpur-Mithapukur road. You can take a rickshaw or auto rickshaw (Battery Driven Rickshaw) to visit this place from Rangpur.

Jamalpur Shahi Mosque is one of the oldest mosque in Gaibandha district. It was built by Hazrat Maulana Shah Jamal (R). There are no specific inscription behind the proper construction period of this mosque. There is a Folklore that a war had been occurred between Hazrat Shah Jamal and contemporary Hindu Raja Khirodhar (ক্ষীরোধার) where Raja Khirodhar was defeated by Shah Jamal (R). For preserving this victory, Hazrat Shah Zamal (R) built this mosque just in one night.

The people who are living here, have strongly believe about this Myth. There is also a pond in front of the mosque which was also built by Shah Zamal in one night.

Mirer Bagan Zam-E Mosque (মীরের বাগান জাম-ই মসজিদ) is one of the famous historical places of Gaibandha. It was built by renowned saint Shah Sultan Gazi. There is a saying that about 1000 years ago the mosque was built. There is also another saying that Shah Sultan Gazi had defeated Hindu Raja Kalidas and then built the Mosque for spreading Islam. Everyone feels amazing to see the inner beauty of the Mosque.

Three tombs (মাযার) are located near the Mosque. These are the tomb of Hazrat Shah Sultan Gazi,tomb of Mir Mosarraf Hossain and tomb of Ibn Shorfuddin (ইবনে শরফুদ্দিন). These three saint came here only for Spreading Islam in this region. In front of the Mosque there is a huge garden. One of the saints named Mir was the reason to call this mosque as 'Mirer Bagan Zam-e Mosque'. Now the Mosque is conducted by a waqf estate (ওয়াকফ স্টেট). Every year in the month of Boishakh, a fair is celebrated here in Mirer Bagan.

Dhamrai Mosque (Dhamrai Bazar Jame Masjid) is located at Dhamrai Bazar. Dhamrai is an Upazila of Dhaka district which is beside Manikganj District. At the Dhamrai Bazar, you'll find this nicely decorated mosque.

This looks a bit old fashioned and the Minaret of the mosque is designed flamboyantly. The minaret consist of small white colored marble stones. The mosque has around 6 domes at the top of it. All of them are white colored.

This mosque is known as "Pathrail Mosque". But to the local people, it has other names, and it will be easier for you to find the place if you remember the other twos. People used to call this as "Dighir Par Mosque", also it has a name that is listed at Bangladesh government, "Majlis Awlia Mosque". This Masjid has three domes at the top of it. After taking the mosque under the Archaeological Heritages of Bangladesh, the government did some furnishing task over the mosque, so that it doesn't collapse, or doesn't become a ruin.

This mosque was built during anytime between 1393 AD to 1410 AD. The pundits are assuming that the mosque was built by the great ruler, Sultan Azam Shah. At the Southern side of the mosque, "Majlis Awlia Khan", the mosque was named after his name. There is a majar just near the mosque. The mazar was formed using the name of "Mastan Darbesh Nazimuddin Dewan" and "Fakir Salimuddin Dewan". There was a large Dighi(water tank) was created just near the mosque. The water tank was made to ease the water problem of the peasant. Thats why people used to call the mosque as "Dighir par jame moshjid".

পাথরাইল মসজিদ নামে পরিচিত এই মসজিদটির অন্য আরও দুটি নাম আছে। এগুলো হলঃ দীঘিরপাড় মসজিদ এবং মজলিশ আউলিয়া মসজিদ। মসজিদের নামগুলো মনে রাখলে আপনার মসজিদটিকে খুঁজে পেতে সুবিধা হবে। প্রত্নতত্ত্ব অধিদফতরের অধিগ্রহনের পর তিন গম্বুজ বিশিষ্ট এই মসজিদটি রক্ষার জন্য বেশকিছু রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের কাজ করে সরকার। সম্ভবত ১৩৯৩ থেকে ১৪১০ সালের মধ্যে মসজিদটি নির্মিত হয়েছিল। তবে, ইতিহাসবিদদের ধারনা সুলতান আজম শাহর শাসনামলে মসজিদটি নির্মিত হয়। মসজিদের দক্ষিনে রয়েছে ‘মজলিশ আউলিয়া খান’ যার নামে মসজিদের নামকরণ করা হয়েছে। মসজিদের কাছেই ‘মাস্তান দরবেশ নাজিমউদ্দিন দেওয়ান’ এবং ‘ফকির সালিমউদ্দিন দেওয়ানের মাজার রয়েছে। মসজিদের কাছে পানির সংকট নিরসনের জন্য একটি বিশাল দিঘীও খনন করা হয়েছিল আর একারনেই স্থানীয়রা মসজিদটিকে ‘দীঘিরপাড় জামে মসজিদ’ নামে বলে থাকে।
