Brief
Madhobpur Lake and Tea Estate is located in Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar District. The pleasant natural Madhobpur Lake is surrounded by small hills (Tila). Most of the hills are planted with tea trees. The bank side of the lake is full of lotuses and lilies. The color of the lilies is bluish which adorns this place with a bluish sphere. The lake is surrounded by small hills.
The lake is so wide and it’s hard to cover the whole lake with your camera. There is always heavy wind blows surround the lake that made the water of the lake looks like a river or calm sea water. You might have seen such kind of magenta and white colored lilies before. It is so beautiful, and the lily looks like a bit glowing from far. It seems that someone Photoshoped the flowers for that glowings.
How to go
It is approximately 207 km away from Dhaka and 39.3 km away from Moulvibazar. Bus companies like Shohag, Hanif, Shamoli, TR travels operate towards to Srimangal from Dhaka. If you prefer rail, you can take Kalni Express, Parabat Express or Joyontika Express to Srimangal from Dhaka.
After reaching Srimangal, you may take CNG auto rickshaw or bus and head towards Srimangal-Bhanugach road. You may reach Sylhet from Dhaka. The tea estate is 94.2 km away from main Sylhet town. After reaching Sylhet head to Sylhet-Moulvibazar highway by bus.

When returning back from Madhobpur, a tourist may request the driver to go to Nilkantha Tea Cabin (on Kalighat Road) through magnificent tea garden and have 7 Layer Tea.

1. A tourist may buy honey if someone is found selling it. It’s really good.
2. Some part of the trail get risky during rainy season so it is suggested to take precaution.
3. There is no boating facility in the lake yet.
