Brief

Tarekeshwar Shiv Mandir is located in Natore Rajbari, near to small palace building (ছোট তরফ). This temple is as popularly known as Tarekeshwar Shiv Mandir, but the established name is Sree Sree Baba Tarekeshwar Shiv Mandir. Although this temple was established by Tara Sundari, daughter of Ordhorongeshwari Moharani Bhabani (অরধরঙ্গেশ্বরী মহারানী ভবানী); This old temple represents the ancient Indian architecture of the then King Shivnath Roy, the second son of the Great King Ram Krishno. Everyday many people come here to observe this ancient architecture. Also, people of Hindu religion come here to vow and worship to their god, Lord Shiva and offer deity.

Not only the Shiv Temple, there is also a structure of Snake with five heads named Ponchonag, statue of Lord Hanuman, and statue of Lord Shiv and Sree Krishna. People also worship before these structures to fulfill their desire. There is pond named Tarekeshwari just beside the temple, named after the temple.

How to go

To visit this place, you need to come to Natore Sadar. After reaching at Natore Sadar, take rickshaw to visit Natore Rajbari. After entering into Natore Rajbari, you can find this temple just on your left.

Poet Chandrabati (চন্দ্রাবতী) is considered to be the first Female poet in Bengali literature. She was born in 1550. Her father's name was Bangshidas Bhattacharya (বংশীদাস ভট্টাচার্য) who is considered as one of the composers of Monosha mongol (মনসা মঙ্গল). She along with her father composed the Monosha Debir Bhashan (মনসা দেবীর ভাসান) during 1575. Poet Chondraboti (কবি চন্দ্রাবতী) started narrating the Ramayana (রামায়ন) from the Sita's (সীতা) point of view by criticizing Rama (রাম). But unfortunately, she couldn't finish her work.

There are two Shib Mandir (শিব মন্দির) available near the village Chandrabati (চন্দ্রাবতী) that is around 6 kilometer apart from the Kishoreganj (কিশোরগঞ্জ) town. One of those are shorter in size. These temples are related with many stories of Chandrabati (চন্দ্রাবতী) and her life. It is believed that the temples were built during the 16th century, contemporary to the poet's birth.

It was around 3:00 at the afternoon when I have reached there. So I was the only traveler or tourist there that time. There are few sitting places available near the temple. Authority built those for the visitors. Probably during the holidays or at afternoon lot of visitors use to gather here.

কবি চন্দ্রাবতীকে বাংলা সাহিত্যর প্রথম মুসলিম কবি হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়ে থাকে। তিনি জন্মেছিলেন ১৫৫০ সালে। কবি চন্দ্রাবতীর বাবার নাম বংশীদাস ভট্টাচার্য যাকে মনে করা হয়ে থাকে মনসা মঙ্গলের অন্যতম রচয়িতা। ১৫৭৫ সালে কবি চন্দ্রাবতী তাঁর বাবাকে সাথে নিয়ে মনসা দেবীর ভাসান রচনা করেন। কবি চন্দ্রাবতী রামের সমালোচনার মাধ্যমে সীতার দৃষ্টিকোন থেকে রামায়ন বর্ণনা করা শুরু করেছিলেন কিন্তু দুর্ভাগ্যবশত তিনি এই কাজটি শেষ করতে পারেননি।

কিশোরগঞ্জ শহর থেকে ৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে চন্দ্রাবতী গ্রামে দুটি শিবমন্দির রয়েছে। এই দুটি মন্দিরের মধ্যে একটি অপেক্ষাকৃত ছোট। কবি চন্দ্রাবতী এবং তাঁর জীবনের অনেক ঘটনার সাথে এই মন্দিরগুলোর সম্পৃক্ততা রয়েছে। ধারনা করা হয়ে থাকে যে এই মন্দিরগুলো ১৬শ শতকে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছিল যেসময়টিতে কবি জন্ম নিয়েছিলেন। মন্দিরগুলোর কাছে দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য বসার ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। বিকালবেলা অথবা ছুটির দিনে এখানে অনেক মানুষের সমাগম হয়ে থাকে।

Golok Dham Mandir is located at Saldanga village, Saldanga union, Debiganj subdistrict in Panchagarh district. The temple was established in 1846. The distance of the Golokdham Mandir is 12 km north From Debiganj subdistrict. An example of eighteenth century excellent temple architecture. The design is similar to the Greek architecture strategy.

Shivbari Temple, around a hundred years old, is one of the top historical places in Barisal Division. Every year, in this temple, on 14th of Falguni month, massive celebrations go on for three days with different puja programs and fairs. At the first day of this festival, people conduct a congregated worship in accordance to the Hindu religion.

On the next two days, the colorful carnivals continue by following religious customs and traditions. Although it is primarily a ritual practiced by the Hindu people, both Hindus and Muslims participate in the Fair. There is a Zamindar Bari just near to this temple.

প্রায় শতবর্ষ পুরাতন শিববাড়ি মন্দির বরিশালের ঐতিহাসিক স্থানগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম। প্রতি বছর বাংলা ফাল্গুন মাসের ১৪ তারিখ এই মন্দিরে তিনদিন ব্যাপি পূজা ও মেলার বিশাল আয়োজন করা হয়। এই উৎসবের প্রথমদিন হিন্দুধর্ম অনুযায়ী গনপ্রার্থনার আয়োজন করা হয় এবং পরের দুইদিন ধর্মীয় প্রথা অনুযায়ী বিভিন্ন উৎসব চলতে থাকে। হিন্দুধর্মের উৎসব হলেও মুসলিমরাও এই অংশ নিয়ে থাকেন।

A significant number of Hindu Moth is found in all over the Bangladesh. Some of those are still standing with great structural strength and some are decaying day by day. Boshder Benami Moth is one of those, a nearly destroyed Hindu Moth which is around 200 years old.

It's assumed that Bosder Benami Moth was built by some great Merchant named 'Bosh' located just beside the Bosder Jamidar Bari.

Now, It's almost being griped by a gigantic banyan tree which has caused severe damage to the exterior & interior of this structure. If it goes like this way, then it will totally being destroyed in near future.

Necessary steps should be taken for immediate conservation and preservation of this structure.
