There are lots of marvelous natural and man-made objects to enjoy near the bank of Karnafuli River in the port city Chittagong. If you visit the Karnafuli River, there is a restaurant called Zoom, just beside the Chittagong-Kaptai road. This restaurant is monitored and managed by BDR. It’s a nice picnic spot. A lot of students from Rangamati go there as a study tour.
From the spot, you can enjoy the panoramic view over the river Karnafuli. This river is flowing nicely, always full with water, whether its dry season or rainy. Both side of the river has small Mountains, and which is rich with various kinds of deciduous trees. If you visit there in the dry season, you may find most of the trees having no leaves. Its different kinds of beauty. No sign of life, but it’s still wonderful to enjoy.
There are several boats at the river, you can have a boat ride using them. Those are a bit costly, but you know you have to spend some money when you want to enjoy that kind of such beauty.

In Bangladesh, the Brahmaputra (ব্রহ্মপুত্র) river is joined by the Teesta (তিস্তা) river (or Tista), one of its largest tributaries. Below the Tista, the Brahmaputra splits into two distributary branches. The western branch, which contains the majority of the river's flow, continues due south as the Jamuna to merge with the lower Ganges called as Padma river. The eastern branch formerly the larger, but now much smaller is called the lower or old Brahmaputra.
Mymensingh (ময়মনসিংহ) district stands just beside the old Brahmaputra river. It curves southeast to join the Meghna River near Dhaka. The Padma and Meghna converge near Chandpur and flow out into the Bay of Bengal. This final part of the river is called Meghna.
The Brahmaputra enters the plains of Bangladesh after turning south around the Garo Hills below Dhuburi, India. After flowing past Chilmari, Bangladesh, it is joined on its right bank by the Tista river and then follows a 150 miles (240km) course due south as the Jamuna river. South of Gaibandha, the Old Brahmaputra leaves the left bank of the main stream and flows past Jamalpur and Mymensingh to join the Meghna river at Bhairab Bazar.
There are lot of bridges over this river at several districts. Near the Mymensingh town, you'll find two bridges. One is for the road transports, and other one is only for railway service. From one bridge other one can be seen and a traveler can enjoy the whole view of river while walking through a passage just beside the river.

Kocha River is a much larger river from the Southern part of our Bangladesh. It is created when the two famous rivers Modhumoti and the Shondha merged together near at the Hularhat (হুলারহাট). After converging the two rivers it got a new name Kocha (কচা নদী) and carrying this new name until it falls into the Bay of Bengal.
Most of the main rivers from our Southern Bangladesh are having bridge on them to ease the communication. But for some unknown reason, this river Kocha (কচা নদী) is not having any bridge. And the communication between the Bagerhat (বাগেরহাট) or Pirojpur (পিরোজপুর) and Barisal (বরিশাল) is hugely dependent upon this river. One has to wait for around 30 minutes to 2 hours to cross this river. Where as a bridge can reduce this duration into few minutes.
There is only one ferry that is dealing all the transportation. It will take around 15-20 minutes to cross the river through Ferry. GPS coordinate of the river and the ferry ghat is around this (22°34'35.51"N, 90° 1'55.49"E).

বাংলাদেশের দক্ষিন ভাগের একটি অন্যতম বড় নদীর নাম কচা নদী। হুলারহাটের কাছে জনপ্রিয় দুটি নদী মধুমতি নদী এবং সন্ধ্যা নদীর মিলনের ফলে এই নদীটির সৃষ্টি হয়। বঙ্গোপসাগরে মিলে যাওয়া পর্যন্ত এই নদীটি কচা নদী হিসেবেই বয়ে গিয়েছে।
যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার সুবিধার্থে দক্ষিন বাংলাদেশে অবস্থিত বেশীরভাগ প্রধান নদীর উপরেই সেতু রয়েছে। তবে, অজ্ঞাত কারনে কচা নদীর উপর কোন সেতু নেই যদিও বাগেরহাট অথবা পিরোজপুরের সাথে বরিশালের যোগাযোগ রক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে এই নদীটির ভুমিকা অপরিসীম। এই নদীটি অতিক্রমের জন্য কখনো কখনো আধ ঘণ্টা থেকে দুই ঘণ্টা পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করতে হয়। অথচ একটি সেতু থাকলে নদীটি অতিক্রম করতে মাত্র কয়েক মিনিট সময়ের প্রয়োজন হতো।
একটি মাত্র ফেরির মাধ্যমে কচা নদীতে সবধরনের পণ্য ও যাত্রী পরিবহন করা হয়ে থাকে। ফেরীতে করে এই নদী অতিক্রম করতে সময় লাগে ১৫ মিনিট থেকে ২০ মিনিট। কচা নদী এবং ফেরি ঘাটের জিপিএস অবস্থান হলো (২২°৩৪'৩৫.৫১"উ, ৯০°১'৫৫.৪৯"পু)।

Madhumati River, distributary of the upper Padma River (Ganges [Ganga] River), flowing through southwestern Bangladesh. It leaves the Padma just north of Kushtia and flows 190 miles (306 km) southeast before turning south across the swampy Sundarbans region to empty into the Bay of Bengal. In its upper course it is called the Gorai; in its lower course it is known as the Baleswar; and its estuary mouth, which is some 9 miles (14 km) wide, is called the Haringhata. The Madhumati is one of the largest of the Padma distributaries in the southern part of the Gangetic Plain.

একাধিক জেলা দিয়ে প্রবাহিত বাংলাদেশের চমৎকার এই নদীটির পানির রঙ সবুজ। বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম ছোট জেলা মাগুরা দিয়েও এই নদীটি প্রবাহিত হয়েছে। মধুমতি নদীটি বাংলাদেশের অন্যান্য নদীগুলোর মতো কারন বর্ষা মৌসুমের শুরুতে এই নদীটি যথেষ্ট প্রসারিত থাকে যা কিনা বর্ষা মৌসুমের শেষে আরও বেড়ে যায়। নদীর একপাড় থেকে অন্য পাড়ে মানুষকে পাড় করার জন্যে একটি খেয়া ঘাট আছে। এই নদীতে ট্রলারের মত ভারি নৌযান চলাচল না করায় নদীটির পানি তেল দিয়ে দুষিত হয়নি।
অন্যান্য নদীর তীরের চেয়ে এই নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত রাস্তাটি বেশ উঁচু। এছাড়া এখানে অবস্থিত একটি বটগাছ আছে যেটির ছায়াতলে ক্লান্ত পথিক, রিকশাচালকরা বিশ্রাম নিয়ে থাকেন।
