Boga Lake, also known as Bagakain (বগাকাইন) Lake, is the most beautiful natural lake in Bangladesh. It is 18 km away from Ruma Sadar Upazila in Bandarban. The area of this lake is about 15 acres. It is approximately 1800 feet above sea level. The color of its water is blue. Behind creation of this lake there are many mythological stories. Many tourist visit Boga lake mostly during winter. Localities of small tribe community like Bawm, Khumi can be found besides the Boga Lake. Strolling becomes difficult in the rainy season.

The road from Ruma to Boga Lake is still under construction. You might be amazed looking at the big rocks lying in and out of the Boga Lake. You can have a camp fire beside the lake which might be an unbelievable and mind-blowing memory in your life.

Bebud Rajar Dighi (বেবুদ রাজার দিঘী) is a large pond that is located at the Egarosindur Union (এগারোসিন্দুর ইউনিয়্ন) of Pakundia Upazila. Locally this is known as Bebud Rajar Pukur (বেবুদ রাজার পুকুর), more colloquially Bebuiddar Pukur (বেবুইদ্দার পুকুর). It was built by a tribal king named Bebud (বেবুদ). He belongs to the tribe named Koach (কোচ), many people opposed it as tribe Hajong (হাজং).
Myth on Bebud Rajar Pukur:
According to history described by the locals, Bebud (বেবুদ) was a tribal king of Koch tribe (কোচ উপজাতি) from the 16th century. There are several myths/stories are available regarding this king and his pond. During a drought, he dug this large pond to ease the water crisis of his peasants. But unfortunately the pond didn't filled with water. King Bebud (বেবুদ) saw a dream at night and heard a voice that ordered to sacrifice his wife's life at the pond to get water on it. He shared this dream with his wife Shompa Rani (শম্পা রানী) and his wife agreed to comply with the order of the dream, but she had a toddler and asked the king about his future. She was worried about his baby's life.
Next day, during the dream, King Bebud (বেবুদ) saw the dream again and this time he asked about his toddler son. Cause the son was totally dependent on his wife. The voice on the dream assured that the King will be given a magical ring, if he bring this ring on the bank of the pond, his wife will be given back to him only to feed their toddler son. Assuring the safety of their son, the queen went at the middle of the pond at next day and the water started to rise slowly and she was sunken inside the water when a whorl was created around her. Whenever the kid cried from the hunger, the king brought him to the pond and touched the bank with his ring. It conjured the queen back as a form of human and she gave her breast to the baby.

বেবুদ রাজার দীঘিটি স্থানীয়ভাবে বেবুদ রাজার পুকুর এবং বেবুইদ্দার পুকুর নামে পরিচিত। আদিবাসী কোচ সম্প্রদায়ের রাজা বেবুদ এই পুকুরটি খনন করিয়েছিলেন। তবে স্থানীয়রা এও মনে করেন যে বেবুদ রাজা ছিলেন হাজং সম্প্রদায়ের রাজা।
বেবুদ রাজার পুকুরকে ঘিরে প্রচলিত কল্পকাহিনী:
স্থানীয়দের ভাষ্যমতে ১৬শ শতকে উপজাতি কোচ সম্প্রদায়ের রাজা ছিলেন বেবুদ। রাজা বেবুদ এবং তাঁর পুকুরকে ঘিরে কয়েকধরনের কল্পকাহিনী প্রচলিত আছে। কথায় আছে একবার খরার সময় পানির সংকট দূর করার জন্য রাজা বেবুদ এই বিশাল পুকুরটি খনন করলেও পুকুরটি পানিতে পূর্ণ হয়নি। এরপর রাজা বেবুদ স্বপ্নযোগে পুকুরে পানি আনার জন্য তাঁর স্ত্রীকে এই পুকুরে বলী দেওয়ার নির্দেশ পান। রাজা বেবুদ তাঁর স্ত্রী শম্পারানীকে স্বপ্নের কথা জানালে শম্পারানী রাজাকে স্বপ্নে প্রাপ্ত নির্দেশ অনুযায়ী কাজ করতে বলেন তবে তিনি রাজার কাছে তাদের শিশু সন্তানের ভবিষ্যতের ব্যাপারে আশংকা প্রকাশ করেন কারন শিশু সন্তানটি পুরোপুরি শম্পারানীর উপর নির্ভরশীল ছিল।
পরদিন ঘুমের মধ্যে রাজা বেবুদ আবারো স্বপ্নটি দেখেন তবে এবার তিনি তাঁর শিশু সন্তানের বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করেন। স্বপ্নযোগে রাজা জানতে পারেন যে তাঁকে একটি জাদুর আংটি দেওয়া হবে এবং তিনি যদি এই আংটি নিয়ে পুকুর পাড়ে আসেন তবে শম্পারানী ফেরত আসবেন শুধুমাত্র তাদের শিশু সন্তানটিকে খাওয়ানোর জন্য। সন্তানের ভবিষ্যৎ সম্পর্কে আশ্বস্ত হয়ে পরদিন রানী পুকুরের মাঝখানে চলে যান। এতে করে পুকুরের পানি আস্তে আস্তে বাড়তে থাকে এবং এক পর্যায়ে স্রোতের তীব্র ঘূর্ণিতে পড়ে শম্পারানী পুকুরে তলিয়ে যান।
এরপর যখনই শিশু সন্তানটি ক্ষুধায় কান্নাকাটি করত, রাজা বাচ্চাটিকে পুকুর পাড়ে এনে আংটি দিয়ে পুকুরের পাড়ে ঘষা দিতেন এবং এতে করে রানী মানব আকৃতিতে ফিরে এসে তাঁর সন্তানকে খাওয়াতেন

Upendra Sorobor (উপেন্দ্র সরোবর) is a rectangular shaped large pond that is located at the Nagarpur of Tagnail District. In English, the word 'Sorobor' means a lake. It was dug by the famous Zamindar of Nagarpur during 1381 of Bengali calendar, which is around 80 years from now. During that time the villagers needed to go far away from the home to collect water (for drinking and household works). To ease their water crisis, the generous Zamindar took initiative to dig this large water tank.
This large pond has in total 12 ghats for taking baths. The Western side's one is the biggest one and it has a false gate on there. It also has a medium sized Banyan tree on there. Lot of local visitors use to gather here during the afternoon and they use to sit under that tree.

Bangladesh has very few lakes enlisted under populous tourist spot. Apart from the list, there are few lakes available around the country those can be a supreme destination for any traveler. Raikhong lake is the most prominent from that promising list. The elevation of the lake has around 1165 ft.
This lake is situated at the Rangamati district, not at Bandarban. But, for its location, you have to go there through the Bandarban. That will be the easiest way among all other available, because Rangamati offers communication throw water path only, and also the lake is at the last corner of Rangamati district. No matter how you are going, it’s recommended to pick an expert or guide with you.
Around the lake, you'll find two villages, one is at the eastern bank of the lake, and other one is at western bank. Those villages are known as Pukur Para (পুকুর পারা). May be it’s because of having around the lake. Both the village denizens are Tripura, but religiously Christian. People from West side of the lake used to do uphill and downhill task to come at the lake, but at eastern side's villagers can access the lake easily being so close of it, and having almost at flatland.
People also call this lake as Pukur Para (পুকুর পারা) lake. Also from few local people I have heard them pronouncing the lake's name as Raichong (রাইচং). Not sure which one will be the correct one. No matter what they are saying, or what we are, the beauty of the lake is not going to decrease by that.
Local people used to catch fish from the lake. There is no prohibition about catching fish from that giant lake. Tilapia (তেলাপিয়া) is the first choice from those fishes to stick over the net of the fishermen. At the eastern corner of the lake, there is a tiny Jhiri (ঝিরি) generated from the lake water. Probably that was created to keep the level of the lake water under control. During the rainy season the abundant water from the lake used to pass through that channel and used to join with the Raikhong Canal.
Being many hills around the lake, and the mysterious behavior from the sky, you'll find different colorful scene at the lake water. Remember, half of the lake water is being untouched by the human. People don't used to go those portions normally. So you'll find that area of the lake more beautiful than the proximity of the locality. There is a helipad available at the Pukur Para Army Camp. From that high land, you'll probably get a picturesque aerial view of the lake.

বাংলাদেশে খুব কম লেক রয়েছে যেগুলোকে নামকরা পর্যটন স্পট হিসেবে বলা যায়। সারাদেশে পর্যটকদের তীর্থস্থান বলা যায় এমন লেকের সংখ্যা খুবই কম। প্রায় ১১৬৫ ফুট উঁচুতে অবস্থিত রাইখং লেককে বলা চলে তেমনই একটি তীর্থস্থান। স্থানীয়রা অনেকে লেকটির নাম রাইচং বলে উচ্চারিত করে। তবে লেকটির নামের উচ্চারণ যাই হোক না কেন এতে করে লেকের সৌন্দর্য কোন অংশেই কমবে না।
রাঙ্গামাটিতে অবস্থিত হলেও ভৌগলিক অবস্থানের কারনে এই লেকে আপনাকে বান্দরবানের মধ্যে দিয়ে যেতে হবে। রাঙ্গামাটি জেলার শেষপ্রান্তে অবস্থিত এই লেকে রাঙ্গামাটি দিয়ে পৌছাতে হলে আপনাকে জলপথ পাড়ি দিতে হবে তাই বান্দরবান দিয়ে যাওয়াই হবে সবচেয়ে সহজ। তবে আপনি যেভাবেই যান না কেন সাথে করে অবশ্যই একজন গাইড রাখবেন।
লেকের পূর্বতীরে এবং পশ্চিমতীরে দুটি গ্রাম দেখতে পাবেন যেগুলো পুকুরপাড়া নামে পরিচিত। হয়তোবা চারপাশে লেকের উপস্থিতির কারনেই গ্রামের এমন নামকরণ। দুটি গ্রামের অধিবাসীরাই ত্রিপুরা গোত্রের এবং তাঁরা খ্রিষ্টান ধর্মের অনুসারী। লেকের পশ্চিম তীরের গ্রামবাসীদের পাহাড় বেয়ে উঠা নামা করে এই লেকে আসতে হয় তবে খুব কাছে সমতল ভুমিতে অবস্থিত হওয়ায় পূর্বপ্রান্তের গ্রামবাসীরা সহজেই লেকে আসতে পারেন।
বিশাল রাইখং লেক থেকে মাছ ধরতে নিষেধ না থাকায় স্থানীয়রা এখান থেকে মাছ ধরে থাকে। লেকের বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির মাছের মধ্যে তেলাপিয়া মাছ সবচেয়ে বেশি ধরা পড়ে। লেকের পূর্ব প্রান্তে লেকের পানি থেকে সৃষ্ট একটি ছোট ঝিরি রয়েছে। সম্ভবত লেকের পানির স্তর নিয়ন্ত্রনে রাখতে ঝিরিটি সৃষ্টি হয়। বর্ষাকালে লেক থেকে প্রচুর পানি এই ঝিরিটি দিয়ে রাইখং খালে যেয়ে পড়ে।
লেকের চারপাশে অনেক পাহাড় থাকাতে এবং আকাশের রহস্যময় আচরণের কারনে লেকের পানি বিভিন্ন বর্ণ ধারন করে। প্রায় অর্ধেক লেকের পানি মানুষ ব্যবহার করে না কারন লেকের সেই অংশে মানুষ যাতায়াত করে না। একারনে লেকের ঐ অংশ আপনার কাছে চারপাশের তুলনায় অনেক সুন্দর মনে হবে। পুকুরপাড়া সেনাক্যাম্পে একটি হেলিপ্যাড রয়েছে। এখানকার উঁচু স্থান থেকে আপনি পাখির চোখে ছবির মত সুন্দর এই লেকটিকে দেখতে পাবেন।
