Jaflong is a union situated at Bangladesh-India border. Jaflong is a landscape beauty among gardens and hills. It is situated next to the river Peain round Hill Khashia. The Mari River originating from the great Himalayas brings tons of stone slabs with its stream. It’s a hilly area comprising of green forests.
Jaflong is a hill station and popular tourist destination in the Division of Sylhet, Bangladesh. It is located in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet District and situated at the border between Bangladesh and the Indian state of Meghalaya, overshadowed by subtropical mountains and rainforests. Jaflong is famous for its stone collections and is home of the Khasi (also known as Khasia) tribe.
Jaflong is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Sylhet division. It is about 60 km from Sylhet town and takes two hours drive to reach there. Jaflong is also a scenic spot nearby amidst tea gardens and rare beauty of rolling stones from hills. It is situated besides the river Mari in the lap of Hill Khashia.

বাংলাদেশ-ভারতের সীমান্তবর্তী খাসিয়া পাহাড়ের কোলে মারি নদীর পাশে অবস্থিত পাহাড়, সবুজ বন ও বাগানের সৌন্দর্য ঘেরা একটি পাহাড়ি অঞ্চলের নাম জাফলং। হিমালয় থেকে সৃষ্ট মারি নদী এখানে প্রচুর পরিমানে পাথরখণ্ড বয়ে নিয়ে আসে।
জাফলং হল সিলেট বিভাগের একটি হিল স্টেশন এবং অন্যতম আকর্ষণীয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্র। সিলেট শহর থেকে ৬০ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত এই পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে সড়কপথে পৌছাতে প্রায় দুই ঘণ্টা সময় লাগে। পাথর সংগ্রহ করা এবং আদিবাসী খাসিয়া সম্প্রদায়ের বসবাস এই দুটি কারনে জাফলং এর খ্যাতি রয়েছে। চা বাগান এবং পাহাড় থেকে গড়িয়ে আসা পাথরের বিরল সৌন্দর্যের দেখা মিলবে এখানে।

Pocha Dighi and Ghora Dighi have own historical and religious significance toward the villagers. The crocodiles in the pond never will harm you even if you touch them. Here many people used to come every day in a way to make their wish fulfilled. As a result many gifts were given by them. The belief of them is high with that. Kaptai Lake is a beautiful blue man-made watery lake. The size of this Lake is approximately 11000 square kilometer, which was created as a reservoir when the Kaptai dam was built during the 1960. This amazing Lake was created by flooding valleys and plain lands between numerous hills all around the Lake. Kaptai has Bangladesh's only hydro-electric project. The Kaptai Dam on the Karnaphuli River created for this purpose resulted in the Kaptai Lake. This created a charming view as forested hills and plateaus rise from beneath the beautiful Lake water.
A stretch of road connects the tourist spots of Rangamati and Kaptai. The road goes deep into the hill tracts and displays the natural beauty and wildlife of the district Rangamati. The government of Bangladesh run Tourism Corporation and many private operators offer Kaptai Lake Cruise Tours, which is worth of it. Other scenic spots are also accessible through the waterways. Cruising on the Kaptai Lake is an enjoyable way of observing the landscape as many great picnic spots, natural landmarks and historic monuments are accessible only by boats.

Aachranga Dighi has an overall area of 25.5 acres. This Dighi was excavated 120 years ago and it is 100 feet in length and 1070 feet wide. It is said that a guy named Monuvut of Raj dynasty excavated this Dighi. This Dighi was excavated again in 1992. 12 statues were found while digging this Dighi which are preserved in different museums. There are many trees present surrounding the Dighi. The surrounding environment is very pleasant. It is visited my many tourist every year.

আচরাঙ্গা দীঘির সর্বমোট আয়তন ২৫.৫ একর। ১০০ ফুট লম্বা এবং ১০৭০ ফুট প্রশস্ত এই দিঘীটি ১২০ বছর আগে খনন করা হয়। বলা হয় রাজ বংশের মনুভুত নামক এক ব্যাক্তি এই দিঘীটি খনন করেন। ১৯৯২ সালে দিঘীটি পুনঃখনন করা হয়। সেবার খননের সময় ১২টি মূর্তি উদ্ধার করা হয় যেসব বিভিন্ন জাদুঘরে সংরক্ষিত আছে। এই দিঘিকে ঘিরে চারপাশে প্রচুর গাছপালা আছে। দিঘীটির চারপাশের পরিবেশ খুবই মনোরম। প্রতি বছর প্রচুর পর্যটক দিঘীটি দেখতে আসে।
